Hi sweet girlies,
Hoping this finds you all well, and with a happy, content heart .. This is probably my favorite time of year !! Just something about Spring, the renewing, new growth, and wonderful pleasant weather we are all enjoying ..
We've been really cleaning, planting, redid our white picket fence, and arbor .. trimmed everything back, and soo much is bloomimg already !! My herbs smell wonderful, and always reminds me of summer and FuN times .. It's amazing to see hard work pay off with such beauty .. Enjoy my time outdoors playing in the yard ..
Thought I would share some sweet bunnies with you, I've pulled it all out, and enjoy their sweet faces, and nothin' cuter than the bunnies bums, they all have the sweetest little soft tails, and most are blinged out .. hahaha .. enjoy your little peeks, I so enjoy visiting all your sweet decorated homes, and as always, you all inspire me so much, and I'm NeVer at a loss for decorating tips, and wonderful spring ideas ..
Again, hoping you are all happy, and truly enjoying each day, and the blessings that surround you .. soo much happening in this crazy world, I'm always so thankful to be in my home with my family safe, and taken care of .. WHAT ?!! It's February, and almost Valentines Day !! Where oohh Where does the time go !! It's crazy how time just whizzes quickly by !! I really do just try to wake up, and enjoy each day, and everything that it brings !! Soo much goes on, and things I have to do, that I have a hard time keeping up !! HAHAHA .. Us girlies, ALWAYS need to go out and have some FuN too !! I DO always try to make FuN time, or I will go nutso !!

The weather has been very Spring like here, so unlike alot of you are in the midst of !! It's been a crazy month for all I think .. I LoVe the feel of sunshine on my face .. I've been blessed to play out in my gardens a BiT already .. LoVe playing outside .. nothing soothes the mind and soul as that .. and, to see everything a bloomin' .. I so enjoy the smell of it all .. Spring is almost here ..

Hope this finds you each doing well, and enjoying yourself no matter what kind of weather your having .. it's always so enjoyable to snuggle in too .. a cup of tea, and a good book or magazine is my idea of just relaxing .. the sun is a coming ..

Just thought I would wish each of you a wonderful, FuN, romantic (hopefully) Valentines Day !! I LoVe decorating our home, and setting a wonderful "heart" table .. everyone gets goodies at there setting, and a yummy meal of course !! Always a wonderful day .. These are just a FeW of my Valentines pretties out and about, I've seen soo many of your decorations, and just LoVe what you all do !! You are so creative, and some of you really deck things out .. You all truly inspire me, and it's always soo FuN to pop in and see what you have so creatively and cleverly put out to dress things up !! ~ my cupboard project ~

Well hello to you, all my sweet, inspirational bloggy friends,
Hope this finds you all doing well, feeling good, and rested up a BiT now that the holidays are behind us .. whew.. I often wonder, just HoW, we make it through the hustle and the bustle of it all .. I have always just loved Christmas, and all that comes with it .. We decorate Thanksgiving week, and enjoy hopefully each day the season brings, BuT, the day after Christmas I want it ALL away, and my home back to normal .. I always have soo many projects lined up, and start cleaning and clearing out .. Tis' good for the soul .. Makes me feel a bit lighter, and NeW .. Always have to do some changing around, and putting up some NeW, refreshing vignettes .. Makes it a BiT more FuN !!

I thought I would share a little (BiG) project I've started .. My wonderful friend, Barbie is a wallpaper hanger, and when she moved into a NeW home a FeW months ago, she did this to her cupboards, and Mee, being the way I am, wanting (dying) to have this done in my kitchen, recieved the wallpaper for Christmas from her, and she came to do my cupboards for a Christmas gift !! I was over the moon excited, and soo happy with the way it came out !! It's soo much more FuN to open your doors to pretty !! This cabinet is the one with glass doors, soo it's got to be pretty .. the others are all the same, BuT, are filled with food, and pantry items .. All my PiNk baskets, and pretty PiNk rOsE painted jars from Rebecca look beautiful against this PiNk Troille paper, it's Laura Ashley paper, and is soo nice, and durable .. Beats contact paper, and everything else I've EvEr tried .. I was just thrilled with ALL the re-do, and the cleaning out, and getting RiD of, felt WONDERFUL !!

Have any of you EvEr used wallpaper to do this ?! I NeVeR EvEn thought of it til' she did hers .. It's wonderful to start a new, EvEn doing something like this little project !! Really made this little peeps happy !! Aren't friends wonderful !! Always blessing us, and making life soo exciting !! This was the PeRfEcT gift for TeA !! Now, onto the next project .. You should see my list !! Why OOhh Why don't these lists get smaller .. I'm always adding to mine !! I do enjoy basking in the end results, it's just getting started !! And, you all know, everything entails a little more work than anticipated at first !!

Sooo, you know what I've been up to, and I AM going to be a better bloggy friend again !! I feel a BiT of normalacy in my life once again .. LiFe is good, and happy, and I'm feeling soo blessed once again !! I'm realizing that each day is a gift, and to be grateful and content with the little things, and ALL the "stuff" is just that, "STUFF".. God is good my friends, and I'm hoping that as you start your New Year, you are feeling happy and content, and just happy to have another day to do what makes your heart happy .. Be nice, and LoVe, and give HuGs to everyone you possibly can, and are blessed to have around you !! It's our families that matter most, and than all the little things ..

~ Christmas Time Again ~

Well, hello sweet friends,

Just wanted to wish you ALL a very Merry, blessed Christmas time .. Once again, I've been neglecting my blog, BUT, have jumped around and peeked in to some of you and your beautifully decorated homes .. That's always soo FuN, and very inspirational to me !! You are all such a JoY to mee, and I am blessed to call soo many of you FRIEND !! What truly wonderful, kind-hearted women you are .. I've cried with some of you, and my heart has ached right along with yours at times .. And, than, I've laughed with you, and some of you always, continually crack me up !! I sure need my morning laugh at times, and KNOW just where and who to go to find it .. LoVe that about blogging ..

This has truly been a learning year for me, I have had some heart breaks in my life this year, I think it's part of just getting (50) hahaha .. so sensitive I am, and EveN more so, NoW !! Our children are doing wonderful, BUT, very much independent now, and our oldest is on his own, and our daughter is getting that itch to be on her own, I hate that children want (need) to leave home .. I want everyone under one roof, and I want to see them tucked in to their beds safely each night .. just knowing we are all safe and sound TOGETHER forever .. I'm sure this gets easier each passing year, BuT, came way to fast to this Momma .. And, lastly, our Lori went to heaven on December 3rd to be with Jesus .. Soo very SaD, BuT, it was time, she was ready, and in soo much pain .. She fought the good fight, and took care of alot of undone business in her life .. How fortunate to have the time to do so .. She passed soo content, and surrounded by all those that loved her, and cared for her .. Squeezed each of our hands to the last breath she took here .. and with a smile on her sweet face, and a tear running down her cheeks .. too much for me, BuT, it was quite something to witness, and see such peace .. Again, God is good my friends ~

Okay, NoW, happy .. At least you know where I've been, and kinda going through .. There has been two more nephews born into our already BiG happy family, sooo NoW this year we have 6 little baby boys around for Christmas .. I LoVe to be surrounded by babies at Christmas time .. There is soo much excitement and Joy in the air !! I've always enjoyed Christmas soo much, and there is something about it that makes me soo happy, and tickles my heart ..

This can be such a rough time of year for so many, missing those that aren't with us here anymore, or not being able to be with all our loved ones, BUT, I'm wishing you all a Happy time, and hope that each of you are able to enjoy the peace, LoVe and HoPe that only Jesus can provide .. I'll be a busy girlie the next FeW days, and, know that each of you will be as well, But, wanted to take the time to thank-you for just being the sweetest friends EvEr, and letting your kindness, LoVe and inspiration, always inspire me .. you are the BeST !!

Lastly, enjoy all your family and friends, and make sure you show LoVe, and kindness to each other .. LiFe is short, and remember to give BiG warm Christmas hugs to everyone .. this world needs happy ~

Okay sweet girlies,
Are you shocked ?! Two posts within 24 hrs... Soo NoT meee !! But, I have some more beautiful, wonderful to share !! It must be the darker evenings, shorter days, that make me just want to unwind, curl up in my favorite spot, (just anywhere someone is not) hahaha .. and read through my beautiful magazines and books, WELL ... Did you all know that I LoVe and adore the beautiful, talented Ms. Barbra Streisand !! Yep, EvEr since I was a little girl, I remember being fascinated and in awe of her talents .. that voice, the singing dancing .. All her movies .. I EvEn wanted my nose to be BiG like Babs .. Noo joke .. I tried to sing and act as her on stage .. what a crack up .. HuH ?! I always loved her gowns, and the way she dressed !! She is surely a talented woman full of class !! And, talented .. Ooohhh my !!

Well, guess what she has come out with her book .. and girlies, it's a beautiful tabletop book .. And, every page is full of her gorgeous, beautiful, charming home .. EvEry page also in a different room, or different angle in them .. She LoVeS everything that all of us girlies loVe .. I have to tell you, that I've NeVer seen a home like this EvEr before !! I promise you will be in awe of it, and won't put it down either !! Soo many beautiful ideas, and her collections, make me breathless .. The main area of her GIANT home faces the Pacific ocean, right in the Malibu hills .. Did I tell you I have been driven by this Hotel, I mean HOME .. You have to know someone that can get you in this private area, BuT, that we did !! BUT, to actually go inside, and sneak real peeks is EvEn more of a treat .. Soo IF you need another Christmas gift idea (for yourself) Go, RuN .. get this !! It is worth every penny .. You will LoVe the "Babs" too, if you don't already !!

Okay, I'm off to run and sit in my special place, to read and look some more .. Just wanted to share some pretty, and something to warm your hearts .. stay well and happy during this crazy, sometimes hectic time of year .. Be good and take time for yourselves .. You have to get yours ordered NoW !! Before everybody else has one, and you are left without !! It is truly gorgeous !! Not your everyday magazine .. Every page is full of pure bliss, time worn charm .. beautifully displayed, and everything set up soo charming and lovely !! The pages are very heavy type paper, and there is NoT any advertisements or boring pages to this magazine .. If you know the lovely Joanne, and are familiar with her blog vintage rose collections .com you will be very excited to actually hold this in your sweet hands, and look over every page over and over again .. Can't think of a better way to curl up and relax .. Jump over to her, and check this out for yourself .. Sure to please each and everyone of us that has always adored the ruffled, tattered and worn look ..

A BiT of a note ...

Hello to ALL my sweet bloggy friends,
Gosh, it's been awhile, and I've soo missed out on all my visits, and catching up with all of you, I DO try to sneak in and catch a peek, BUT, have truly been missing in action for a bit .. Soo many of you have written, sent emails, phone calls, and comments wondering where oooh where is TeA ?! And, for all that, I APPRECIATE sooo much your concerns .. sweet peas you all are !!

First of all, our son is in highschool football, and that takes up soo much of my time .. it is truly endless, BUT, soo FuN !! And, at this time I need happy !! That is why I shared my sweet lamp, that my sweet hubby surprised me with about a week ago !! I saw this on Amy's blog, and had to run get me a couple .. such a good price, and the PeRfEcT fit for mee .. This, he hung over our bed, and the other is going over my bathtub when we ever get around to re-doing it .. Soo much going on now, that this has to take the backseat for a BiT !! I put these sweet PiNk shades (of course) on it, and when my sweet friend Debbie comes in about a week, she will dress these shades with ribbons, lace, and bling .. I've shared with you, all my lamps by her .. She does such lovely work .. can't wait ..

Now, for the sadness in my life, it has been with a heavy heart, that a loved one of ours, LoRi, our nephews wife, was diagnosed in August with a very rare form of uterine cancer called "Leiomyosarcoma" it masks itself as if it's fibryo cysts, it cannot be detected by xrays, blood tests and the such .. she has been in pain for several months, and FINALLY was okayed to have a hysterectomy about 5 weeks ago, and that is when they found massive tumors, some the size of small basketballs, imagine the shock of the Doctors and surgery team at the time .. unbelievable .. stage 4, and given weeks to live .. So, I have decided to be with her every minute I could possibly be there .. I've always been very close to her, we work together, and play together .. She loves everything I LoVe, and is such an artist and crafter .. We have shared wonderful memories together .. My heart is broken, and yet, it is Lori that is helping to heal me .. I sit with her, and have decided to journal her final days together with her .. It has been life altering .. things that have brought me such JoY, has gone away for the time being .. this is taking everything that is in me .. I have been through soo many different emotions with her .. her body was shutting down, and they gave her two days last week, BuT, she came back rallying, unbelievable, the will to stay here for the moment .. She is soo weak in her physical being, her spirit is amazing .. Lori isn't ready to leave her children yet, and her sweet granddaughter .. soo we sit and talk about life, and plannng her "life" celebration, I wanted noo part of that, cuz I'm not ready to let go of her .. She tells me, that if I LoVe "truly love", I will listen and do everything she wants done .. Only happy she says .. no more tears .. can you believe she is telling me this ?! Soo, we have planned her celebration, I still take her (in the wheel chair) for walks, made her a BiG PiNk fluffy blanket to wrap up in, and have given her a pretty bling cross ring, that we hold onto as we sit .. She knows Jesus is her hope and comfort, and to HIM she will go, just not today she says .. when she phones me each morning she has to tell me, that she has another gift in this day !! Soo, we sit, laugh, and cry some more .. we talk about FuN times, and happy days .. She still can make me crack up, and boy, is her laughter contagious, I think that's one thing I will always have in my heart .. makes me giggle just to think of it ..

I didn't write this to be depressing, or sound down, just wanted to share where my heart and mind are right now .. I have learned more in 6 weeks, than I have the last ten years of my life .. What is truly important is "life itself" and the days we are given to be here with loved ones .. to laugh, cry, and just LoVe everyone we care about .. Noone knows when our last day will be, BUT, to be given this gut wrenching, unexpected news has been life altering to all of us .. I feel that so many days have gone by, and forget, really at times the month it is .. very strange ..

I feel better just sharing with all of you, and please know, I WILL be back soon, just need to take time to grasp all this for myself .. I really want to be with Lori, and our extended family every spare minute I can, I've gone there at 2 in the morning, not being able to sleep myself, and she is sitting there waiting, cuz she knew I might just come .. unbelievable .. Sometimes, we just sit and I hold her tight, other times she holds me tight .. But, I'm there, just there ..

Soo to each of you that prays, please do, and please don't forget about me, I will be back soon .. I'll need happy, and I KNOW where to find that, from each of your sweet hearts ~

Hi my girlie friends,
Hoping you are all happy, relaxing a BiT, and enjoying these last sweet days, before we get back into the "school and schedules" mode once again .. My son goes back to school on August 17th, soo not too far away !!

We've really been enjoying these lazy days, doing lots of FuN things, and going away for short times, to places close to home !! There is soo much to do in Southern Calif.. we don't have to go to far, to be at the beach, in the mountains, or in the deserts .. All beautiful places to stay in !! The weather has been amazing this summer, with NeVer really getting above the low 80's, very pleasant, and the breeze in the evening is soo cool !! I've been loving it, cuz I'm NoT a good heat kinda girl !! hahaha ..

This week-end, I spent time cleaning and rearranging some pretties, and I always think to share them with you !! DiD you know this girlie just LoVes mercury glass, and have plenty of it around .. Candles look soo pretty shimmering in these in the evenings .. I usually fill them with sugary PiNk candles, they smell soo yummy too .. the little ones are the sweeties they decorated my birthday table with .. I adore all the little labels on them .. soo mee .. Don't you think the mercury goes soo well with the pretty crystal tops, and anything PiNk !! Something soo romantic and calming to mee !! That is one of my down falls, if I LoVe something, I kinda go overboard collecting and displaying all of it !! LiKe I've shared before, if something speaks to my soul, or tickles my heart, I'm sold !! People always say "what are you going to do when you tire of all this stuff ".. Gosh, in all my years, that really has never happened, styles change, decor may change, BuT, I believe when you just LoVe and adore something, it's truly a passion, and I would be soo SaD, not to want to collect "things" that speak to mee !! I am more choosey now, only because, where ooohh where, is this going to goo ?! But wait, I WILL find a place always for a newfound treasure .. The hunt has always been one of the BeSt parts of collecting, and then to be able to share our excitement with others who understand this crazy disease Even more FuN !!

You girlies are truly the BeSt, and I soo hope you are blazing the trails on the hunt, for a totally, sweet, tickle the heart, uncovered treasure .. I soo enjoy my visits, and stories you all share with me .. I hope you are all doing wonderful, and feeling LoVe and JoY wherever you may be !! Have a blessed rest of your summer ~

Hello and happy Sunday to each of you girlies !!
Well, remember when I said my boys left to Mammoth for a few days, and left Meee home alone,and I had shared that I was up to re-doing some things while they were away !! I finally have snapped some pictures of the slipcovers that my darling, sweet friend Soyra sewed up for me .. She knows exactly what I LoVe, and it's all I did was give her the fabric, and away she went .. I was thrilled to see them finished and dressed up again .. I've always shared that I'm the total frilley, fluffey, lacey, and the more ruffles the better kinda girlie .. She trimmed everything so PeRfEcT, notice all the frill .. The ruffles hang loose to the floor, kinda floppy, and soo casual .. I have tons of pillows, cuz, this is the tv room, where everyone lays around and the pillows are a must !! Everything comes apart and is easily washed .. All the fabric is cotton, the main body of the sofa and ottoman are 100% cotton, white denim .. It all goes soo well with all of my PiNkY RoSe fabrics, that I have NeVer grown tired of !! It is all so comforting and sweet to mee !!

I have to say the biggest question I am ALWAYS asked, "Is do your BoYs hate this ?! Can I just say A BiG FaT Nooooo !!! Do they LoVe it ?! Uuuhhh NoT so sure !! they just know that Momma LoVEs it, and it makes me HAPPY !! "If Momma ain't happy, ain't nobody happy" hahaha ... My oldest Son is out in his own place now, and the younger son, has a total BoY cave room, with all the ToYs in it, soo he is fine !! Our daughter has a bedroom after her Mommas' heart, soo I KNOW she loves it !! I've always said, be true to your heart, and what you LoVe, and don't worry what everyone else thinks .. I myself, have always loved and adored shabby, chippy, floppy frills, and top it off with gently used linens and lace, and it has my heart forever !!

I have a group of die-hard girly girl friends, who we call ourselves the "Cottage Friends" and we are always sharing, gifting, swapping things we tire of, or want something different, we lunch together, shop, and flea market together, and when we have birthdays, or just plain ole' tea parties, we are always giving each other the same sweet gifts, and when we find something we love and have to have, you better try to get about 6 of them or else !! hahaha ..

Well, my friends, I sure hope you all LoVe my new pretties, and think of meee when you see anything PiNk, RoSey ,and shabby, and hopefully all this lucious, crumpled rufflely fabrics warm and tickle your hearts as well .. Here's wishing you all a SUPER family, relaxing, or just plain lazy day ~

~ Some 4th of July FuN ~

Hello to all of my girlie friends,
Sure hope you all had a wonderful, special, FuN 4th of July !! Can you Even believe it's the MIDDLE of Summer ?! Unbelievable .. We had such a FuN week-end !! All of us went to Canyon Lake, which is about 45 minutes from our home .. It's our relatives that live here .. It is beautiful, and BiG !! Right on the lake, they have a wonderful lawn that they always play volleyball tournaments on .. I watch, they are way to competitive for Meeee .. I only like to play for FuN !! I always SCREAM when the ball comes flyin' into meee ... yikers ... hahaha .. There is a putting green for the golfers in the family, and all kinds of FuN water toys .. LoVe to play in the boats .. the evening brought tons of fireworks, and was soo FuN to bundle up and watch those together .. there must of been 35 of us there .. Our older son had to work, so wasn't able to join us .. that always makes me sad when he can't be with us , BUT, his job is to serve and protect, so it was a busy night for him ..

I've always loved the summer and all it brings .. the weather has been soo beautiful, nice and warm in the day time, and cooler in the evenings.. can't complain at all .. Soo hoping you all had a wonderful, safe week-end, and knowing you all were busy with family and friends too ..

My boys returned from Mammoth the day before we left to the lake .. I got alot of wonderful things done, and redone in my little home, and will share that soon .. (little things) BUT, it doesn't take alot to make little ole' me happy !! I'm sooo easy to please .. REALLY !!

Just wanted to pop in, and say hello, thanks soo much for all the sweet emails and such, asking "where ooh where" I went .. I'm home, just soo BuSy !! It's smack in the middle of our summer, started early .. here, we got out June 5th .. Our youngest will be a sophomore next year, 15 still, soo Momma is the taxi, and entertainer maker, kinda .. He plays football, and his school, football is pretty much year round, he has 3 weeks off (dead weeks) soo, we have been going little places, Malibu, Palm Springs, Disneyland, and the BOYS leave to Mammoth for 7 days !! Can I just yell out a BiG YIPPEE SKIPPEE for Meee !! that will be my vacation, I have soo much planned, and places to go !! I LoVe my BoYs, BUT, can I just say this girlie Momma needs some down, QUIET time !! Lots of little FuN projects I want to do, while they are a hikin' and a fishin' ...

I've been playing in the gardens, and always enjoy cutting my pretty roses, lavender, and other herbs, and displaying them everywhere .. Nothing special, just sweetness all around .. Can you smell them .. I have soo many all over the yard, and my herbs are just spreading everywhere .. LoVe when the windows are open in the evening, and the smells just drift all around .. very comforting, and to think it's just the smell of Spring and Summer .. Believe it or not, it's the LiTtLE things in life that I find sooo much JoY in !! I'm soo easy to please !! I keep trying to convince my hubby of that .. hahaha ..

Well sweet ones, I'm off to In-n-Out burgers for dinner, and than guess what ?! Two of my favorite magazines came to little ole' mee in the mail, soo I'm coming home, getting in my jammies, making a cup of tea, and drifting off, to "lalala" land reading and looking at all the pretty, romantic pictures .. Always so inspiring to me !! Here's wishing you all a very relaxing, FuN evening .. hoping you are all diggin' your heels in the dirt, slowing down a BiT, and able to enjoy the very relaxing doggy days of Summer .. It's going to Zoom on by .. Sooo SlOw down a BiT, and just relax ..

Hello to all of you bloggy friends on this wonderful, beautiful weather, kinda day !! Soo nice, cuz it's beautiful sunshiney, BUT, wonderful breeze in the air !! we have been working out back all day, WE .. well, I watch alot, and suggest alot, BUT, I kinda got kicked out of there, soo into the kitchen this girlie went, We are having friends for a bbq ... soo I was getting things ready for that .. Going to grill some steaks and chicken, fresh veggies from the garden, salad, and some baked potatoes ... SIMPLE !! I was going through some cookbooks to see about the most important part of the dinner, and of course, that is dessert .. RIGHT !! Soo, I decided and baked a german chocolate cake ... YUMMERS !!

As I was going through everything I thought I would share some pretty PiNkS and rOSeS in the kitchen, you can see snippets all over the place .. See my new pretty rosey apron, another, birthday gift, think I may wear this while serving dinner, I WILL get laughed at tho .. Right when everyone thinks they've seen it all, I pull out something else soo girlie, and PiNkY !! Makes this girlie smile tho ..

I'm sure hoping you are all out doing some fun things, and hanging with family and friends .. 'tis the season we start staying outdoors most of the day .. Hi Sweet girlies,
Gosh, sooo much time goes by, and I am not being a loyal, good bloggy friend ... It's been a busy few weeks, t'was my birthday celebrations, Mothers Day celebration, and than throw in some other birthday, graduations, and just things I HAVE to do, and time goes a flyin' .. I did want to wish you all a happy, Memorial Day week-end, I soo hope you are doing some fun things with all those you LoVe, and lighting those bbq's up !! Tis the season to be outdoors ..

I truly enjoy this time of year .. things will slow down a bit, lazy, longer days, enjoying the sun until it goes away in the evening .. we seem to spend way more time outdoors .. our vegetable garden is just over flowing with special treats, and it's soo fun to tell hubby to go pick what is ever ready for dinner tonite .. sooo yummy, and so much more healthy for us .. that garden is his alone tho .. he trys to get me out there to WORK, and NOPE, I won't get in all that dirty mess .. I am not the farmer girlie, BUT, soo happy he tends to this ..

I think we are off to the beach in a bit .. Sissys house, and enjoy just doing nothing .. not quite sure .. that's the BeSt kinda day for mee .. no plans, just see what the day may bring .. I sure hope you are all doing well, and maybe just being down right lazy, and enjoying this beautiful week-end .. Remember all those that have and do sacrafice their precious lives for each of us to be and live in a FREE, blessed Country !! There is no BETTER country to live in .. I AM Sooo PROUD to be an AMERICAN !! Truly I am !!

Hi girlies !! It's Fabulous Fun Friday once again !!I sure hope you all have some fun things planned for this beauitful Spring week-end !! I have some "have to do" things, but NeVer fear, I always seem to fit some fun in !! just gotta do that !! Right?!

I wanted to share with you some sweet "pInK " treasures once again .. have you EvEr seen or come across in your junkin' these old wooden shoe shine boxes, and shoe forms .. Well, I just LoVe and AdORe anything vintage, painted PiNk with painted RoSeS on them ..

When Sweet ~r~ reopened her lovely web-site store, I had to buy a FEW pretty things .. See, this little baby shoe form, well (thanks Marydon xo) this went soo well, with my shoe shine box, and PiNk with RoSeS shoe brush, in PeRfEcT condition after all these years .. Aren't they all soo sweet, and who just WHO would think to take these home from an estate sale, and give them a makeover ... REBECCA !! She found all these for mee, and they sit proudly now in my little home .. It always amazes me with what we all do with these wonderful found treasures !! There is just something that tickles my heart, when I have re-purposed and am enjoying these vintage finds ..

Well girlies, I sure hope you can go out and find sweet olde treasures, and find a place in your heart and your home to enjoy each of them .. such fun, and truly brings me JoY !! Yippee Skippee !! It's Fantastic Friday once again !! LoVe knowing I have the entire week-end to just go at normal speed !! I always seem to be busy, BUT, find time for Meee !! That is what keeps me sane !! Seeking out fun treasures, and always on the hunt ..

I finally got some more pictures of Jens' beautiful, shabbylicious, dreamilious home !! I wanted to share more of these with you .. Soo, here we go, step inside and peek with me, this time we're looking at more pretties, and the detail to the rooms, and pieces of furniture that she has redone, and applied beautiful appliques to these pieces !! she does such a beautiful job, and I still drool just looking at all the beauty !!

Look at the chandys, in all there glory, in every room shining beautifully .. Look at the precious little girls room .. fit for the princess she is !! I adore all the hand painted rose dishes !! Don't her colors just all blend, and go so perfectly !! there is something so serene and so comforting with their color choices ..

Notice the shabbied sagey green brickwalls in the family room .. They were all painted several coats of different paint colors from all her years .. ( this home was built in 1924) as, their contractor was sanding the walls, Jen LoVED all the colors and natural red brick coming through, so they decided to just sand, and let them all show through !! I think it's GORGEOUS, and adds texture and warmth to this sweet room !! See girlies, for those that have painted over their bricks, there is always another look to achieve !! this truly looks fab !!

Well, I soo hope all of you have enjoyed this, another peek into beautiful Jens' home, and KNOW with their 3 young children, you go upstairs, and this is where you find all their treasures, and toys, and play things .. What a wonderful idea, and to be so blessed to have such a BiG beautiful home to do so !! this is one happy, very blessed family .. And Jen, thank you so much for being so gracious and inviting us all in your home again !! And Jen, remember your tea party, and inviting all of us over, let's do it !! hahaha .. Hello and happy day to you my bloggy friends ~
Gosh, another busy, and fun week .. I'm getting ready to run to work, BUT, have been dying to share these beautiful pictures with all of you .. I told you how I was going to this wonderful home tour this past Saturday .. It's always in the Spring, soo for a little birthday celebration, 4 of my girlfriends took me here again (our 6th year of going) and than to a late lunch, early dinner .. It was a wonderfully fun day as always !!

This neighborhood is in olde towne Santa Ana ..It is called Floral Park .. What a wonderful place to be able to call home .. You are always charmed by these beautiful, well kept, tree lined streets and homes .. Each is a bit different in architect and design .. This neighborhood illustrates a far more collection just of homes .. It is truly unique, EvEn the way the streets are designed, and the way they CuRvE around each other .. You always seem to be at a corner !! But, that's okay, can I say I would LoVe to be lost in this neighborhood forever !! I so wish I could take you inside each home .. What an awesome experience !!

They ask that you NOT take pictures, BUT, when I came across Jens home, I JUST HAD to have pictures !! She soo graciously said she would send these to mee !! She is as beautiful as their home .. Soo, come inside and take a peek .. I was just drooling !! Every step you take is just gorgeous !! Look at the paint on the walls, Soo warm and inviting !! Each room was showcasing beautiful shandys, and lighting .. Look at the beds she has transformed .. GORGEOUS !! She has gotten alot of items from The Bella Cottage !! Jen appliqued the beds herself !! They were just lovely !! this home is the quintessental Romantic Shabby Chic Home .. Rachel Ashwell would be so thrilled !! I just couldn't get enough !! Peek into the kitchen, and WoW yourself with her display of hand rose painted dishes !! The openness and beauty of their home just took my breath away ..

Thank you sweet Jen, for opening your home to all of us crazy girlies, and to have been soo gracious and sending me pictures my way to share .. I can just stare at these endlessly !! you have done an amazing job decorating, and making your house a home !! you are blessed sweet one, and I so hope all you, my bloggy friends enjoyed your peek into this shabbylicious, gorgeous, yummy home .. hoping you are all having a happy, blessed week, and doing things that warm and tickle your sweet hearts ~

Hello to all my bloggy friends,
Hoping you all had a wonderful, happy, middle of the week Wednesday !! I'm always off work on Wed., soo it's my day to get my nails and feetsies done, run my errands, and do what I HAVE to do !! I always seem to sneek in some fun tho as well .. A friend and I met for some lunch, and than we went to a darling store to pick up some pretties for my birthday tea, (lunch) .. they are decorating it all in vintage type table decor, and pretty handmade tussey musseys for favors !! All of it is adorable, and I can hardly wait for the little party !!

Well all of that being said, I had seen where my sweet friend Ginger had made a tussey mussey for a swap, and contacted her to see if she would make me one for the table, and she didn't want to sell, soo we decided to do a friendly swap .. oohh what fun this was, look at all my surprises .. they came today, and I was just to the moon excited !! The sweetest tussey mussey .. sooo meee ... the match box, filled with sweet lace and treasures, my beautiful bottle, and sweet rose dish .. beautiful linen .. Wow !! Does Ginger know what tickles my heart !! this was such a blast !! I'm like a little girlie when I get new treasures .. I have to leave them out soo I can see and hold them for awhile, and then I find sweet places to hold them !! I wanted to share them all with you !! Like I've said so many times before, I have met the most wonderful, talented, gracious friends in this wonderful world of blog land !! so many of you I feel like I have known for a life time !! We share so many of the same loves, passions, and girly girl things !! If I'm EvEr down, there is always a kind word of encouragement said, and so many of you just crack me up .. (my morning giggles) way better than reading the yucky newspaper !! And then, there is so many of you that just continually warm my heart, and put a smile in my pocket for the entire day .. I'm so EvEr grateful to each of you .. And, to you Ginger, thanks so EvEr much for the beautiful treasures you gifted me with .. You are the BeSt ~

Hello and happy Saturday to all of you sweet girlies,
Hoping you are out enjoying this beautiful Spring day ... And doing something, well .. kinda fun !! It's my mommas' birthday tomorrow .. soo I've been getting ready for her BiG day !! My Sisters are coming over in the morning, and we are taking her to brunch, and than my niece and brother in law are in a play together in LA, so we are off to see them perform .. It should be a wonderful celebration for her, and when you get us altogether it can be a rather crazy day .. I LoVe my sisters and my Momma ... Brother too, but, this is a girlie day !!!

I've been playing a bit today too, and wanted to share with you what I did .. Last week Christie Repasy shared how she bought a beautiful ruffled skirt, and adorned her lamp with it, soo, I went out and found this cute little girls ballet skirt, and dressed a lamp up in my family room .. it was sooo fun, and I think it looks so"vintage chic" and sooo romantic ... I wrapped a pink satin ribbon and flower to her afterwards .. you can go on and on .. but, for now, this is how she looks .. I really want to find more of a ruffled one, BUT, this was all I could find that day !! there is soo many darn cute little ruffled romantic skirts out now, BUT, I wouldn't dare wear one, BUT, will have so much fun repurposing these darling pieces .. I think at different holidays I can change the decor on them a little, and have grand ideas on doing so !!

This is another reason, I LoVe visiting all you wonderful friends on your blogs .. there is soo much shared, and I think it is so interesting that we all enjoy so much of the same styles, decor, and can share our passions with each other !! You all have inspired me with your ideas, words, and pictures !! I think down deep inside, most of us are die hard romantics, and are always trying to find and discover just the right accessory and combination of details to display somehow in our little cottage, or grand homes .. whatever your sweet haven may be !!

It's such a funny thing to me, that I have truly been blessed meeting soo many sweet, gracious, truly wonderfully talented women !! It has been an honor and blessing to be so intertwined with all of you .. you make me laugh, smile, cry, and sometimes just pondering your thoughts .. Quite the journey it has been .. Some of you, I feel like I have known forever .. how cool is that ?!

I saw this beauty on another bloggers post, and just had to get a hold of sweet Ann .. She graciously accepted to make me this old "tenderly loved luggage pocket .. it is soo sweet, very feminine, ribbons and lace ..silky fabric pretty vintage flowers .. I could just go on and on .. I just adore this, and was thrilled when it came to me .. she tucked in a few surprises .. the sweet basket holder with a yummy looking papered egg, a paper flower she made too .. I just LoVe it all !! And, did I tell you how yummy it smells .. Very special indeed .. I hope to add some more of Ann to my collection .. Well happy wonderful Friday my girlie friends, sure hoping you all had a wonderful week, and hopefully threw in some fun during the rush of the week .. It's amazing how fast the week really goes, first I'm dreading my Manic Mondays, and before I can blink an eye it's Fabulous Friday once again, and I'm always looking forward to some fun for the week-ends .. We have a few more shows and markets to go to this week-end, and I also need to get some things together for our Easter celebration .. fun things to do, BUT, still need to get it all done !!

I really wanted to share with you a treasure I found at a sweet Spring boutique last Saturday .. remember my crazy, fun day of shopping .. It is soo meee !! When I walked into the shoppe, my eyes and heart were totally drawn to this .. It's sugary PiNk, and so feminine .. The handles on the side are PeRfEcT for hanging pretty linens, and the drawer holds some pretty linens and lace as well .. I lined the drawer in lavender drawer paper, can you smell it ?! hahaha .. It really has so many sweet details to it !! It goes perfect in my dining room, and I just put some other pretty PiNk, and RoSeY things to adorn her .. I was a happy girl !! I found soo many sweet things at these boutiques, and I will show you some more soon .. this was just the BiG thing I got that day !! You know when something just calls your name, and you just have to drag it home .. well, that's just what happened here, and I'm STILL estatic with my find !! I hope you like my new pretty, and I soo hope you all find a surprise you fall in LoVe with while you are out and about this week-end .. it makes the day so fun, treasure hunting, and truly uncovering a beloved find ..

Hello to all my Girlie friends,
Hoping this finds you all enjoying this beautiful, almost Spring day .. Can you believe we have gone through the winter together once again .. On to sunshiney, long days again .. yippee for that .. LoVe these warm longer days ..

It's been rather hectic and busy for me .. I can't always get to my blogging, but, still try to visit so many of you as I can .. fun things tho, lots of birthday and happy celebrations .. that's the good thing .. I LoVe this time of year and all it brings .. The freshness and newness of so much .. it makes me feel that I get a chance to start anew as well .. mmmm .. is that possible ?! hahaha I thought I would just share some of my Easter pretties that I have brought out .. I have lots of bunnies and Spring popping up all over our home .. thought I would share a few pictures with all you girlies .. I had to share my buffet with all my cross bottles on it .. It's my front window, and I LoVe how the sun shines through all the crystals in the afternoon .. And, isn't the cross the real reason we are celebrating Easter !! LoVe all my crosses, all over my home .. The rest of the pics are just little vignettes all dressed up for spring .. My little bunnies always just make me smile .. they have the sweetest faces ..

I'm excited for the week-end, we have lots of Spring shows and markets going on all day Saturday and some still on Sunday !! I'm getting up early and starting out with a few friends too, we will see how many I end up at !! I'm actually embarrassed to tell you how many over the years I've collected !! Right when I think I have enough, she comes up with another so beautiful, and her framing is incredible, and all so unique !! Her roses look as if they were just picked, and the colors she uses to paint are soo life like, and they look so real, you can almost smell them !!

Well guess what ?! Christie has a blog now, and any of you, that adore her, and her beautiful work, should drop by, and say hello .. she is a beautiful, sweet, charming, friendly person .. Hi my sweet bloggy girlies,
Here's wishing you all a wonderful week-end, and hopefully you are able to squeeze in something fun !! It was quite a strange day today as far as weather goes, I headed out to do some errands and fun stops, and the sun was shining so bright, and than thunder clouds, bursting with rain, and pass, and some more beautiful sun .. tomorrow is suppose to be a beautiful clear, sunshiney day again .. we are so spoiled here, and not use to cooler, wet weather ..

I had to show you my sweet PiNk formerly silver, coffee decanter .. I bought this sweet piece from Stefanie, at Rose Petals and Rust .. She has the sweetest etsy shoppe, and the prices are just right .. I had been wanting one of these forever, BUT, they are so pricey .. when I found this in her shoppe, I had to get it .. I knew exactly what I wanted to do with her, send her off to Miss Rebecca, and paint her up PiNk with hand-painted roses .. what do you think ?! I was soo excited to get her back, I've sat up a little vignette for now, HER in all her glory, surrounded by little crystal glasses, which have hand-painted roses on them as well .. hard to see, you have to look close ..hahaha..But, I LoVe how it turned out !! I see sooo many of you with sweet, beautiful silver pieces and KNOW you would probably die to see them painted over .. But, you know mee, it has to be PiNk !! Hi all my girlie friends,
Sure hope this is finding you enjoying another pretty day .. The weather here has been awesome .. A lttle rain, and then,some beautiful sunshiney days .. In the midst of this, my garden thinks it's Spring time .. my roses are a bloomin'. amd my pink jasmine, is smelling wonderful, and soo sweet !! the lavender is growing like crazy .. I LoVe to step out my front door, and just smell the air !! Soo wonderful, and just reminds me, that Spring is knockin' at the door .. No matter where you are, it's coming .. We all just have to be patient, and enjoy each day .. I think this is the time of year, when we all start itching for warmer, longer days .. just thought I would share some of my pretty flowers bloomin' away, and some pretty faux ones as well .. I do prefer REAL flowers, but, oh well , still pretty, and make me smile .. Soo, A tisket, a tasket, I hope you're able to fill your baskets" with something pretty, and that warms your heart ..

Well Happy Wednesday to all my bloggy girlies,
Sure hope it's beautiful where you are today !! We have had a gorgeous week here, ( in the low 80s) it's beautiful Spring like days .. All my roses and flowery plants are starting to bloom .. sooo pretty, they think it's Spring .. My pink jasmine smells soo yummy, and sweet !! I get so excited, cuz the air smells soo wonderful, and Spring like .. We are spoiled here .. mostly warm, sunny days .. Although we are to get rain again next week .. Soo, can't get too excited, it is still February !! I'm off work today, so I'm playing in the house, and moving things around .. Don't you LoVe just changing things around, you feel like you got new pretties, and actually I forget what all I do have sometimes .. I Adore cut crystal, and old decanters and have these placed with my pInK pieces .. I collect old silver pieces and paint them pink with my painted roses .. Soo many of you sweet ladies share your old silver pieces (which I soo LoVe) and I figure you would die, if you knew I painted over the silver .. But, you know me, it has to be PiNk and my roses are a must !! I believe what EvEr tickles your heart, and you truly LoVe, Go for it !! There is no rules in this "shabby" world of ours .. I sure wish my photography was better .. I do not do these pieces justice, But, I know you get the idea .. You will have to come visit in a few days, cuz, I bought a TALL, beautiful, cut glass old coffee decanter, with a silver, beautiful lid, I bought it from Stephanie and Rebecca painted it pretty, and it is enroute back to me .. I'm Soo excited to see the makeover .. I will share this beauty soon ..
Okay my friends, I'm off to run a few "have to do" errands, and than to a super cute store to pick up a picture I've ordered .. that's the fun part of my day .. I'm soo happy you drop in to say hello, and wishing you all a very happy, hopefully, SPRING like day .. Do something fun and make your sweet hearts smile ~

Gosh girlies, it's Monday madness again .. I sure hope you all had a wonderful Superbowl week-end .. I know my belly is still full, from all the wonderful, yummy, fun ,football dishes !! Go Saints !! Was that a fun game to watch or what ?! I have to say it didn't EvEn matter to me who won !! And the half time show with the WHO !! Now, that made me feel old !! I so remember them from high school days !! Ooohh my !! What a great day with my boys !!

Well, after all that boy stuff, I was soo dyin' for some real girlie stuff .. Eye candy, and soo dripping with romance !! I had chatted with my girlie friend Rebecca, and she had sent me these photos of her Beautiful, dreamy, Romantic NeW dining room !! This is just over the top Rebecca again .. She NeVer ceases to amaze mee .. And, being that it is Valentines' week, what better home to go visit than Rebecca's and Steve's ...

Go see this on her blog for more pictures and sweet words .. You will be so inspired, and ready to decorate for your special Valentines dinner .. To me, it doesn't matter if you eat a wonderful homemade PeRfEct meal, or a pizza dinner, girlies you serve it up on a beautiful table like this, and your meal will taste better than EvEr !! And, did I say Romantic ?!
To me, her home just drips with Romance, each and every room .. Look at all the lace and linens, candles, chandy, all her lovely dishes and crystal .. just PerFecT for your sweet Valentine .. I personally could sit in this room all evening .. Loveliness surrounds .. If you continue through their beautiful home, each room is this way .. Soft creamy whites and a touch of PiNk here and there .. Look all around, cuz you will miss something special tucked in a nook or cranny .. Just gorgeous !

Now, to me ladies this is truly my idea of a Romantic Home .. Her pictures truly look like they have been pulled from a Romantic Homes, or Romantic Country magazine .. Well hello, and Happy Monday to you all ?! It's always such a hard day for this household, I hear more yelping in the early mornings .. hahaha .. Well goodness, can you EvEn believe it's February 1st ... I LoVe this month because of Valentines Day !! There is just something about the air .. in between the much wanted Spring, BUT, LoVe is in the air !! I sooo enjoy decorating my home, and pulling out all my vintage treasures, and heart dishes .. Right when all the color has been packed away from Christmas, here comes more joy and happy colors !! I fill all the dishes with pretty red, and PiNk of course, candy .. My apothacary jars are filled to the brim ..
I always have the table decorated with PiNk and cream heart dishes, PiNk champagne and wine glasses, EvEn if there just filled with juice and milk .. looks soo festive .. Valentines day always brings sweet little gifts on the table .. my kids are mostly grown, BUT, still insist on all this being done !! Makes it so fun !! Baking is a must, and always making something with hearts .. soo yummy, and the smells, EvEn better !! I will share a little more each week, I soo hope you are feeling LoVe in the air, and surrounded by all those that bring that special feeling, whether it be a honey, or family, wonderful friends, there is always someone we can make feel special and loved ..

Hi all my SWEET bloggy friends ~
Just popping in to say hello to you all !! Hoping each one of you are staying warm and cozy .. It's such a dark, dreary day in California .. I should say week, it has been soo windy, cold, and rainy .. I am a sunshine girley.. we are soo spoiled here, our weather is ALWAYS so darn nice and sunny .. Soo a week of this is enough .. Something about the wind and rain that sounds so angry !! The beaches here are just full of giant waves and winds .. it looks so scarry !!
I was home from work today, so I stayed in and baked (chocalate chip yummy cookies), and cleaned .. Something about days like this makes me just want to bake and clean .. soo that is what I did !! I thought I would show you some PiNk pretties, cuz that always makes me smile .. I know in a few days it will be beautiful outside, and I will see my sunshine again .. that always makes me smile .. the warmth of the sun !!
My pretties always tickle my heart, have NeVer tired of them .. Isn't it funny how the little things we have, bring such joy, and happiness to us .. Soo, the next few days, I'll just keep playing and cleaning, and I will wait, yes, patiently for Mr. sunshine, and the beautiful rainbow that will be covering mee !!
I sure hope no matter where you all are, that you are warm, cozy, and feeling blessed, EvEn in the midst of Mr. Winter .. you can always come over to see me, have some hot tea, and yummy cookies .. wouldn't that be so fun :):)

Can you believe it's now well into January !! It's amazing where the time goes .. I sure hope you are all having fun, and getting lots of things done since the holidays are well behind us .. I wanted to share another wonderful "must have" book I just got .. I just can't seem to put this down either .. LoVe sharing with you fun, eye candy .. There is truly something for everybodys' taste .. Soo many refreshing ideas .. We all have these things around our homes already, it's just putting a tablescape together .. I myself LoVe the "mix and match" look, nothing PeRfEct, no rules, just put together what we LoVe .. Always makes me smile ~
This book is put out by the editors of Romantic Homes, and it is chuck full of beautiful ideas, it shares ideas on creating unforgettable table settings by mixing heirlooms unique treasures, and unexpected accents . Soo fun, and believe me, you will want to play house, and change things around, once you put this down . I've really enjoyed every page of this book, and it's soo fun because three friends of mine are featured in this book .. How exciting is that ?! makes it EvEn more fun ..
You know, I've always been the type of girly, that truly enjoys putting pretty fine, limoge , and other pieces of china, mixed with old vintage pieces of unmatched dishes, on a pretty, old, gently used harvest table, or a chippy painted cottage white table, nothing eVeR PeRfEcT here .. I want everyone to feel at home, and, not thinking you have to be so stuffy .. Ooohh and did I tell you making pretty tables makes the food taste so much more YummerS !! Truly it does, and serving food on pretty dishes, EvEn makes soup and salad taste better .. hahaha ..
Well girlies, always enjoy sharing with each of you, you all truly inspire me in soo many ways .. it's soo fun visiting you all .. stay well, have fun, and get out to get your books .. you will LoVe this ..

Well hello to all my sweet girlies,
I sooo can't believe where the time actually goes .. I try to keep up on everything I HAVE to do, and than it seems forever since I have EvEn sat down to my bloggy .. I have put everything away by now, all our company has gone home . It's always kinda sad to me, cuz the holidays are soo fun, and soo many fun things we do each year, and than, when it is all over, everyone has to leave to return home, and I take it all away, it just seems soo final !! Until next year .. as fast as time seems to go, that will be here before we blink an eye :0
Sure hope you are all doing wonderful, and feeling well .. There is soo much crud going around, we so far, have dodged most of it .. thank God .. The weather has been near the 80's most of the week. I just enjoy doing things outdoors, and sitting in the warmth of the sun, and reading .. It does a mind and body good. I read where so many of you are in the cold part of winter, it must be nice to cozy up, it's just hard to imagine, when WE don't get the seasons as such here ..
I just thought I would share some pretties I recieved for Christmas, these pictures don't do them justice, but, if you look close you can see .. hahaha .. I actually LoVe them all .. I got two more Repasy prints (can a girl have enough REPASY ??) This sterling pitcher is silver with mosaic rose dishes, and the lid is adorned in vintage jewels .. It is soo pretty, and all my PiNk and mercury glass look so pretty next to it .. A friend made me the large mercury glass candle holder with the ribbon and lace all around it .. sooo creative some girlies can be !! I really enjoy all my pretty treasures, and am constantly moving things around .. such fun !!
I had to leave my glass beaded wreath up for awhile .. it is dressed in pink ribbons and roses, and goes well with everything else .. And the hope sign, how fitting always, to KNOW the real source of our "HoPE"
In this next year, I pray for all the HoPe, PeaCe, and LoVe for each one of you .. times are soo trying now, and I just pray for answers and solutions for soo many areas .. Let's take one day at a time, and be KiNd to one another, kindness goes soo much farther, and touches so many ~

Hi all my bloggy girls,
Gosh, it's been a real whirlwind around here .. Got through Christmas, and everything was wonderful, and I am feeling very blessed and LoVed .. We had such a beautiful day with family, and just now am getting to relax again a bit .. well kinda .. we have friends here from Chicago, and we've been going FuN places with them .. Everyone comes here and wants to go to the BeAch .. doesn't matter if it's dead in the middle of winter .. Sooo, aWay we went for the entire day .. It was soo pretty, kinda cool .. cold to me .. We ate, ate ate, and shopped til we dropped .. Sooo much FuN !! Fabulous sales after Christmas, sooo ... I think we all spent our Christmas money !! Seal Beach is such a sweet place .. cute lil' shoppes, and just a small beach town ... Some of these crazy girls went into the ocean to boogey board .. Nooo, not your lil' friend, I couldn't EvEn stand watching, it made me shiver to see them in that freezing water .. that's for the summer days girlies ... Aaahhh .... to be young again !! hahahaha .. those crazy Chicago girls don't know any better !!
I just wanted to pop in to say hello to you all, and hope all is going well, and your enjoying the rest of the holidays with those that are still visiting, or just family and friends that surround you daily .. we've been having lots of fun !! I'm tired tonite, and I am staying in, in my jammers, under a blankie, with my new Romantic Homes magazine .. yippee .. it just came in the mail today !! Sounds like a perfect evening to mee ..

Hello to all you girlie girls,
Can you EvEn believe NINE, Did I say NINE days til' Christmas !! Wasn't it just the middle of Summer yesterday ?! WOW !! At least I can say I am ready .. let it be here !! I'm just truly enjoying all the fun, and precious family times together !! I really am feeling blessed, and I realize it's all the little things that matter the most !! Just hanging out, and being with those we LoVe ..
I just HAD to share with you all, this beautiful, surprise I recieved two days ago, from a wonderful, sweet friend, she is soo giving to so many, and expects NOTHING EvEr in return .. I came home from work on Monday, rushing around, and went to get my mail .. this was sitting on my front patio table waiting for meee, lil' ole' meee !! I had NO idea from who it was, I hadn't ordered anything lately .. It was a gift .. just because .. she knows how I LoVe rag quilts, and pink, creamy fabric with roses all over .. It is beautiful, and see, the rose stocking, and the pretty ~t~ soaps .. I was just overcome with joy ..that someone would Even send me such a surprise .. Soo many of you know Marydon, and are such good friends with her .. you will have to go visit her, and let her know how special she is to so many out in bloggy land !! She is at Blushing rose.com ..

Happy Wonderful Wednesday my Christmas girlies !! By now, I'm sure you're all decorated, and just getting through all the hustle and bustle of it ALL !! Keeps me on my toes, and really,I am enjoying the down time in the evenings .. I LoVe all the hallmark Christmas shows and watch one almost every night !! soo sweet, and always makes me cry !! Happy tears most of the time ..
I sure hope you are all well, and able to get out and have some Christmas fun !! The little parties, get togethers, and baking with family and friends, is soo wonderful, and makes the season soo much more meaningful !! It seems like people are so much more happy, and different (in a good way) at this time of year !! that's what makes it soo much more special !! Well, I'm off and running to do a few more errands today, and I have so enjoyed my Christmas peeks into soo many of your homes .. I feel like I've been on a Christmas open house tour !! hahaha .. soo much fun, and I didn't eVeN have to leave home !!

Decking the rooms for Christmas

Well hello to all my pinky peep friends ~
I'm soo hoping this is finding each of you feeling wonderful, and able to get into that Christmas spirit !! There is always soo much to do, and decorate, bake, buying gifts, wrapping them all pretty, and than hopefully time to sit, visit, and gather, with all those that you LoVe and enjoy .. because that truly is what this season is all about !! I myself really try to enjoy each day, some more than others', BUT, there is so much fun, and good times to be had !! I have my first Christmas party tomorrow night with friends that I have had for years, always a wonderful time, and the food is soo yummy .. She serves prime rib, and has a bake potato bar with all the trimmings, and the dessert table, always gorgeous, and delicious !! Can't wait .. Every week brings something fun, and I just LoVe the traditions that we have each year as a family !! I LoVe all the Christmas pageants at school and church, going to look at all the Christmas lights everywhere, the tree lighting ceremony is Saturday evening in Olde Towne Orange .. Soo beautiful, and we always run into soo many friends and families we know !! That's the best part, sharing the joy and LoVe with all those that you LoVe .. I hope you are enjoying each day, and surrounded by everyone that means the most to you .. Happy decorating and celebrations of the season to you all ~His blessings and LoVe as always especially as we celebrate HIS birth ~

sweet cottage dream pretties ....

Good morning to all my bloggie girlies on this beautiful sunny Soooo CA. day !! I LoVe this weather, cuz it's beautiful sun shiney, BUT, there is a chill in the morning air, and by noon will be almost 80.... it's soo pretty out !!
I had to share with you my beautiful hand-made hearts I recieved from Becky, from "Sweet Cottage Dreams".. they are truly adorable .. I was soo excited to recieve this package ...when I saw her share these on her blog, I know this pink lovin' anything with hearts, EvEn better .. I had to have some ... I can't EvEn share how cute they are .. these pretty hearts are made from a refurbished pink wooley blanket ,and the softest anguora yarn make up the cream hearts .. she has stiched a cream lace ribbon on them to hang .. For now, I will put them on my everything pink Christmas Tree, and after that, I'm sure in a big pretty plate .... You can see how beautifully packaged they came, sweetly wrapped up, and tied with a sweet pink ribbon, and twine ..how clever.. the soft with the shabby, soo mee, and see the sweet tag, and covered rose fabric magnet .. yep, just for mee .. I was soo happy, and elated with the way they turned out !! They would soo be wonderful to give as gifts, BUT, I couldn't part with these ... maybe, just maybe, I will have to get some more ... LoVe Em' ..
If you haven't had a chance to meet Becky, you're missin' out .. She is the sweetest lady, and such a joy to talk to ... swing by, and say hello to her ...

Rachels visit to Country Roads ....

Hello to all my bloggy friends,
Sooo much time seems to pass that I feel like a stranger to my bloggy stuff at times ... I get so busy with everyday "got to do" stuff, that it gets soo neglected ... I miss catching up with all you girlies !! I LoVe visiting all of you, and get so many ideas, and inspiration from each of you ... it's like reading a favorite magazine, and sooo many of you, catch me up on where to go and find sweet treasures !! You all are soo up on everything ... I just get sooo excited !! Such fun ...
Well, today was a BIG day for me girlies ... Rachel came to visit all her admiring fans here in Orange, at Orange Circle, in Country Roads Antique store .. One of my favorite shoppes around, GIGANTIC, and beauty surrounds !! Such eye candy, and pretty "must haves" everywhere .. The dealers here display everything so nicely, and their treasures for sale are the tops around !! There is always something I can't live without !! hahaha ..
I have to tell you tho, I went here this morning to get in line to have my new Rachel book signed and to see the Shabby Queen herself !! The line was around the corner of this fabulous store !! I had to be somewhere in an hour, so sadly I had to leave .. had so looked forward to this day .... Well, after, I did what I had to do, I went to lunch with my hubby, and he agreed to take his very sad wife back to see if the line was smaller yet, well it was, and she was STILL there signing away, visiting with each guest, and taking pictures .. I was sad tho, cuz I had taken my book home, and left it there earlier, BUT wonderful Sue, who owns the store, said take one of my books and get it signed, and than just bring the other back .. How wonderful of her to offer and make this day sooo special for me !! She truly is such a sweet, very giving lady .. That's why I always go back to her place ... Well, I ran to get in line, and ran in to my very good friend Linda, I had to share her picture with you as well, we LoVe the same things, and she is a shabby lovin' girly as well .. We always seem to run into each other at events like this .. So I was able to catch up with her, visit with Rachel, and even was able to stay for her story telling time .. She is soo sweet, and kind- hearted ... very down to earth, and really is all about, getting back up, brushing your self off, and moving forward !! She has been through soo much this past year, I can't EvEn imagine sharing with soo many of us girlies, and not shedding tears anymore !! She's simply amazing, and after her chat, I want to go back, and read my book deeply this time (not just drooling over the pictures) but, to feel her emotions, and how she is changing things up, just a little .. She still LoVes pink, and greens, and pretty blues, BUT, more softly muted now, and she shared pictures of how you can bring in dark and chunky ... Can I just say, I left with a bounce in my walk, and my creative juices a flowing .. Soo many wonderful ideas ... It was such a wonderful day, and to see the Lord send me back in HIS time to meet up with old friends, chat with Rachel, and than to be able to be there for her talk ... Can I just say AMAZING !! See girlies, again God is always good, and faithful, I'm learning more to be in HIS time, NOT always my time .. It couldn't of been more exciting,rewarding, and I left feeling so up and good !! Can't wait to read this some more ... girlies, if you haven't picked this up, ooohh please go get this book .. You will Sooo LoVe and enjoy it ... If I could eat it up, oohhh girlies I sure would !! Hello all my girlie girls,
Gosh, I'm finally feeling like me again .. this has been a long 10 days of feeling ... well .... like POOP !! My voice is finally cracking back .. but, I can be heard ... YIPPEE !! I've really been cleaning things up, and putting all our halloween stuff away, and getting ready to start decorating for Christmas .. I try to have most done by Thanksgiving, and when we get home that night we turn ALL the lights on for the first time, and listen to Christmas music !! I really LoVe the holiday season, and all the family traditions to be carried out each year !! Sooo wonderful !!
I cleaned out my birdie cage today, and took out all the fall stuff, and it will stay like this until the Christmas fairy does it's magic on it !! Everything gets dressed up for the holiday here !! This is one of my lefton bluebird wall pockets that hangs on here, and I put little teacups for feeders, and there always has to be some colored lights to brighten her home !! I LoVe playing and changing this up !! There is something about old birdcages that draws me to them .. I see soo many of them when I visit some of you, and they are just sitting pretty on shelves and armoires,and I try to get myself not to always have to decorate everything I buy, BUT, I just can't seem to leave them alone, I have to drape ribbons and lace, and china cups from everything I buy .. what is with that ?! I guess it's just the little girl in me, always wanting to play house, and making everything pretty and just so !!
Well, I sure hope this finds each of you, staying healthy,having some creative fun, and feeling totally blessed somehow !! I'm soo excited too, on Nov. 15th, Rachel Ashwell will be visiting and signing her new book at Country Roads in Olde Towne Orange, and Christy Repasy will be there the same day !! I can't wait .. Can you believe both of them together in one place, 5 minutes from my home !!! Yippee Skipee for meee !! I'll of course take pictures and share after ...

Well hello and Happy Wednesday to you my bloggie girls,
I always feel like sooo much time passes, before I'm able to post .. sometimes life gets busy, and there is priorities ... darn, but, soo true !! I really have been a bit under the weather for a few days now ... it's all in my head and chest !! No voice right now for this girlie .. I think my family is secretly enjoying this .. hahaha ..very quiet around here .. today was a day off work for me, so I just stayed in and cleaned alot !! I get so antsy not running around town, and visiting my favorite shoppes and friends who are there .. I decided to clean this BIG cupboard armoire in my front room .. Talk about work ..whew .. everything taken out, washed, dusted, and vacumed this whole thing .. But, doesn't it look all pretty and shiney new again !! I put alot of my pink depression glass, and hand painted rose glasses, and limoge dishes in here !! Of course it's all pink and rosey !! Soo much sweet ~r~ in here as well !! I never realize how much I have collected until it's time to clean it all up !! I LoVe every bit of it, and haven't tired of any of it yet !! I do try to only buy things I truly LoVe now, and not just everything I think is pretty !! hahaha ... It can get crazy girlies, BUT, isn't it soo much fun to be on the hunt for those sweet treasures, we just can't live without !!
I sure hope this finds you all feeling better than I am right now, and enjoying this Fall time of year !! We all know what's right around the corner ... can you EvEn believe it !! yikes ... Hello to all you bloggy sweet friends,
WHAT .. It's Manic Monday again, already !! It can't be !! Wasn't I just at "glitterfest" yesterday ?! Crazy .. I guess the older we get, the faster times come and go .. speaking of which, all my friends are turning 50 .. I was at two 50th birthday parties this week-end .. first was Barbies in the blue,and than Peggy with the food in her mouth, hahaha..was Saturday !! Barbs was just a girly dinner at home, and Peggy had a halloween party Saturday night .. That's her in her witches get -up below .. This was such a fun week-end of celebrations, and the rest of us will be turning 50 in the coming months .. Soo strange .. We've all known each other for over 25 yrs .. We all lived in the same condo complex together for about 10 yrs... All newly married, and had our babies together, we all went to the same church, and our children went to the same schools, so we carpooled together, were on the same committees together.. PTL..scouts, sports, you name it !! Now, our children are mostly all grown, some married, in college, and all thankfully healthy and doing well .. Can you believe we are all are such good friends still .. we get together alot, and help each other all the time !! I am soo thankful for such wonderful friends, and we still have soo much fun together !! We laugh all night !! I'm still just amazed how soo many years have gone by, and that we are all so close, and live still, all close by, we just went from condos to homes .. in fact most of these girls are my walking buddies, breakfast buddies, and most important shoppin' buddies .. you should see us all out treasure hunting, we all know what the other LoVes, soo we're constantly yelling to each other to "come, come fast, you're going to die !! hahaha I'm sure you all know what I mean, and have wonderful friends to share good times with .. Believe me, I'm so thankful that the Lord blesses me continuously, and it's to HIM I give all the glory for everything good in my life !! Blessings to each of you as you spend special time with special friends ~~ I LoVe all my bloggy friends too ...

Hello to all my "pinky peep" lovin' girlies,
I just KNOW you all had a Wonderful Wednesday ... the days are rippin' by, and I am having a hard time trying to keep up !! Always something to do, and places to go, ooohhh, and than there is work to go to .. I almost forgot that :):) I did want all you So.. Cali.. girlies to know, that the Miss Rebecca at " a gathering of thoughts" has now got her sweet keepsake cookie cards at a sweet boutique near you .. These are in the store as of today, at "Tea Leaf Cottage" in Olde Towne Orange .. It is located at 141 N. Glassell Orange California 714-771-7752, Joan Alford is the owner, if you need to speak with her .. She is a wonderful, sweet, very helpful lady .. You have to look at these. For those of you that follow Rebecca, will remember her sharing these with us, and letting us know they would be for sale soon. I am soo excited !! She has them in three different designs right now, the gingerbread man, heart, and Christmas tree. I would of loved to have shown you all three designs. But, Joan took them all.. I'm sad, I only have the one to share. They are soo sweet, and cottage perfect. Inside each, is two flavorful recipes, and on the back a timely sentiment, sure to touch the heart. They are lovely, and of course Rebecca's original artwork showcases' each one of these. The detail amazing. I sure hope any of you down this way can check these out !! They are great for a small gift, or for a group of women you might just want to please,and surely impress !! I can't wait to get my own. Rebecca hopes to put out three new styles in 2010.
I hope you enjoyed sneeking a peak into sweet ~r~'s designs, and hopefully you can run check these out, gosh, while you're at the circle, you can stay and have lunch, go to a tearoom for a sweet treat, and just stroll the streets.. Hello and HAPPY Saturday to my pinky rose lovin' girlies,
I sure hope you are all out and about having some wonderful fun, on this beautiful sun shiney day in So. Cali..I actually had a big, fun day, and am rather pooped now !! I LoVe that feeling after running around all day, going fun places, and buying some beautiful, found treasures !! It was one of my girlie ,girl friends birthdays, so we met for lunch, and than spent the afternoon at the "Glitterfest".. It is a fabulous venue of artists.. The best of the best.. No junkie here girls.. Christy was here, and I had to go get a picture from her.. You all know I just LoVe her work.. There was soo much to pick from, soo I did finally decide on this little print.. She frames them in the coolest old wooden frames, and they all look so lovely.. I also bought some bottle decoraters that hang from ribbon, and go great on my decanters.. soo pretty and sweet.. I've tried to show these in the picture, but I always say, I'm not a photographer, but, I think you can see to get the idea.. I was thrilled as always to see her..she is the sweetest, most gracious lady, and is always so kind..such a pleasure to buy from such a wonderful talented lady...I had to snap her picture..I did buy other pretties form other vendors, but, will share those later.. This was just the highlight of my day !! I hope you enjoy taking a peek, and let me tell you, if the "glitterfest" comes to a town near you, run there.. It was a treat.. Sooo much to see, and all the vendors and artists, are the sweetest ladies EvEr !! It was such a FuN day, and my birthday friend, had a wonderful buy her own presents kinda day !!

Happy Sunday to my bloggie girls..
Hoping you're all enjoying your day, and getting in that Fall mood.. I've finally pulled down, and set up some sweet Fall friends.. I LoVe this time of year, and enjoy getting all this out each Fall. I feel in a way that I just put all this away.. Can it truly be a year later ?! Where does the time go ?! I'm actually going to stay home today and bake some pumpkin cookies.. They are sooo yummy !! It's the only time of year I make these.. Isn't it funny how certain yummys taste better at certain times of the year ?! They smell wonderful when baking too..It will be kind of a lazy day .. I still have some wonderful magazines to catch up on, and will curl up and read these.. One, of my favorite lazy things to do..I hope each of you are doing well, and finding joy in what you are up to !! It's been a crazy, hard week for us, but we are doing better each day..I want to thank each of you for your sweet notes left for me.. They mean so much.. my sad day...

Good morning sweet bloggy friends,
Gosh today I come with such a heavy heart.. Soo very sad, and am trying to find happy, fun things to think about..Our puppy love of 13 1/2 years closed her eyes forever while we were all at work and school..she saw us all off, and then while she was napping under "her" tree, she closed her eyes for a final time..I just have to say Marci was the best friend, companion, and protector to our family..She was my walking partner,and always by my side no matter what..or where I was ,she was..It was such a tough day.. I KNOW it will get easier.. But, for now such emptiness..
I was able to be home yesterday, but, wanted to leave as she was being buried.. I went to my friend Patsys' store, just to get out and maybe seeing pretty would make me feel better.. Her store is always quite lovely, and smells so pretty..I strolled around, but, nothing interested me much, or tickled my lil' heart..my heart is sad.. It will get better,I just need to change a little of my routine, and maybe the backyard stuff a bit.. Everything reminds me of her.. She isn't looking into the slider at me constantly.. I still think I hear her walking around..aaahhh..it's just her birdie friends looking for her and her food..She will be missed..We love you Marci Belle xxoo

Hello to all my bloggy girlies,
I was so excited to get my call today, from my favorite bookstore ever, that my Rachel Ashwell book arrived.. I of course hurried down there to grab her up !! I soo LoVe this woman, and couldn't wait to gobble up her every word, and the pictures are still just amazing..It is truly her signature style that I believe has made us girly girls go crazy !! Everything soo flea-market style, and the prettiness of imperfection !! We get to take the journey into soo many of her beautiful homes and hide-aways, and she so lovingly, and creatively shares all her rooms, trinkets, and treasures !! Just soo lovely..And yes, she still uses plenty of creams, whites, and PINKS !! I was soo worried that she too, like some of my favorite magazines had maybe changed her course !! Nope !! She's still "Sweet, Romantic,Rachel, and shares with us, in a Rachel only way, to make our homes,truly intimate, romantic and special !! I haven't read it all of course, BUT, I have surely scoured through every page..I CAN'T seem to put this down..yikes~Gosh, in the last couple of days, I've recieved two of my favorite magazines in the mail too.. I have alot of reading to catch up on !! I don't know if you girlies are all like me, but, I have to thumb through every page, and than go back and read, and than re-read my favorite articles !! I'm soo excited to get home from work, take a bath, and curl up on my pretty, comfy sofa and fall into bliss reading !! It will make my day !! I LoVe having something to look forward to when I get home.. I wish I could say I will make a cup of hot tea as well.. BUT it is still soo beastly hot here, and I will need a BIG glass of my raspberry lemonade full of ice..and nooo blankies here !! Gosh girlies, you will all have to share if you have read this book, and what you all think of it !! Poor Rachel has been thru alot lately, and I soo hope the best for her... I STILL think she should come up with a Rachell magazine, she has soo much to share, offer advice, and soo creative, I would buy those up like crazy !! She sure has quite the vision,and her love of vintage style has soo got me hooked !! Okay, soo now that you all know what I will be up to .. let me know what you've been up to !! A BIG BLACK MONSTER CAME TO VISIT.....

Hello on this beautiful,warm,sunny morning my sweet bloggie girls!!! I've soo missed you all.. I was traumatized by this BIG, black monster coming into my home, I've been a busy girlie!!My husband has talked about this thing FOREVER, BUT, me always being able to win his ideas over, I was able to keep this away for a LONG time..BUT, being that football season is well under way.. HE was bound and DETERMINED to bring this MONSTER into my "pink lovin"gotta be girly home !! WHAT !! I actually cried, pouted, and stomped around !!BUT, HE won, and this new MONSTER friend was his new best girl !! It one him over, and I wasn't going to win this one !! I'm not used to this.. This MONSTER friend was here to stay !! Sooo, to be fair, I was able to go pick out pieces of furniture to hold this beast (his new friend)... Soo off I went, to Debras' Cottage, in Costa Mesa.. They have rooms full of vintage white furniture.. Everyone that tried to help (console me), gave me wonderful ideas.. Nooo ..I didn't have to have a BIG, ugly stand, or shelves.. (no cords can show) anywhere.. Another one of my pet peeves !! Anyone who was even brave enough to come close to me, had to hear me sob !! But, this is what I ended up with.. A beautiful, already redone late 1800's side buffet, and a early 1900's music cabinet, for all the other black yuckie stuff..The store was closing, and I asked when it could be delivered, and they said right now.. EVEN better !! I was going to fix this black monster up !! Soo girlies, this is what I came up with !! Do you like it ?! Give me ideas, or tell me what else can be done !! It's all I see is BLACK, and this thing is huge !! eecckk.. Will I ever become friends with this thing ?! I peek around the corner to see if it's still there,and yep, it's not moving.. It stands proud as a peacock in my family room, almost, seemingly, glaring at mee !! darn thing.. My husband plays with this endlessly, and seems to carress the remote.. I'm not kidding.. This is all new to me.. You all know me, and I'm soo not the tv kinda girlie..Remember I was thrilled when the one in our room got the boot.. this was just hubbys way of saying that "c" word (compromise)..ooohhh I hate that word, especially when I have to do the "verbage" part..uugghhh.. I keep telling him, I'm not decorating anymore for halloween, cuz we already have this BIG MONSTER thing in my home !!
Girlies, what am I to do.. paint it pink, wrap and drape it in ribbons and lace...I LOST girlies.. this is gonna end up having to be my monster friend too !! You all need to post and show me what you do with these things.. I bet soo many of you, have the best ideas !! It was way to big to be put in an armoire..any more ideas, please share.. Sooo girlies.. that is what I have been crazy about the last couple of weeks..and darn, I LOST.. boohoo..that's what hurt more than anything.. cuz, I usually get my way with the hubby.. He doesn't want me winey and crying..remember he has to live with this "pink lovin" girlie.. hopefully, I just get used to this..mmmm..I might EvEn try to like it !! hahahaha..

Orange Circle and more pretties...

Hello my bloggy girlies... I KNOW I KNOW more Orange Circle and Country Roads, BUT, I did show you this time from the main street going in..hahaha.. I have to say, this is one of my mostest favorite stores EvEr !!! That is why I always go here !! Things are always coming in and going out !! Did ya hear me goin' out, soo if you see something you want, you have to grab it, cuz I promise it will be gone tomorrow !! So sorry these pictures are out of order, BUT, I'm not as good at this as you all are !! See my new table curio !! yep, it was sitting there waiting for me, and when our eyes connected.. well.. she jumped..yep jumped right into my already full hands.. I ran home and fixed her all pretty with all my pretties !! I've NeVer seen one this big !! It's very tall and more narrow than the others I have They are much smaller actually !! She was all painted pretty and everything.. And than, as I was skipping around this gigantic shoppe, I went to Christy Repasys space and bought this sweet framed piece of her art !! I had a day, and was soo excited to share it with you all !! I soo hope you can see all the sweetness to this wonderful favorite place of mine, and like I say, if you are Ever in towne, this is a #1 place to go on your list !! I soo just LoVe the smell of this mall too.. It always smells yummy, like pretty candles.. It gets me soo excited !! I Never seem to leave empty handed !! Ooohhh nooo.. Did I really admit that ?! It is a disease ladies, But, oohhh sooo fun !! LoVe coming home and unloading !! Did you all have a good week-end and find some sweet treasures ?! LoVe days like this !! Yippee skippee !!

My high school home ec. cook book...

Hello to all of you pinky peep friends,
I sure hope this is finding you all well and happy on this beautiful, gorgeous, day..I seem to always enjoy my Sundays.. It's the only day of the week I don't feel rushed, and well ... completely crazy !! We always go to church and lunch, maybe run an errand or two and than home to do what ever I feel like doing.. Some days, NOTHING.. sounds BeSt..hahaha..
I seem to get really excited knowing Fall is not far off, and makes me want to cook and bake .. I was going through some cook books that were out, and this one always warms my heart.. It is my Betty Crocker cook book that I used in high school.. It brings back soo many memories, and good times.. I always loved to pick out a menu item, and than put it all together at school !! It made me feel so..well..homey and cozy..and yearn for the day I could do this in my home for my family.. Okay 30 yrs. later, and I'm thumbimg through the same book..Can you believe it has pink and green all over it ?! mmm.. maybe it was made just for mee !! The pictures inside are soo wonderful, it shows pretty ladies in dresses cooking meals and yummys for their families.. Actual families sitting down together for meal time.. WOW !! It's also soo fun to see what they use for ingredients.. Do you know most of the bake goods call for crisco, NOT butter, and they always SIFT dry ingredients together,to mix well, but also the sifting of air into the mixture.. It teaches me alot still..Very basic and easy.. (my kinda cooking)..It makes me realize why things we make as chocalate chip cakes and cookies don't taste the same as they used to.. We skip steps ladies, and have changed many ingredients along the way !! My belief is if your baking treats, do it the old-fashioned way, and enjoy them.. It's not like we eat these everyday Right ?!
It's been soo fun thumbing through this, this afternoon, and thought you might enjoy seeing this as well.. Did any of you sweet pinky peeps use this exact book in home ec..?! It's date of print is 1961.. I used it in 1978.. Gosh, she was old then..hahaha..
I know you are all busy and getting kiddos back to school and such as well, and I pray that all is well and good with each of you !! Hopefully you were all able to do something you LoVe to do today, and you were able just to kick your sweet, pretty tootsies up for awhile !! Praying too, that all my bloggy friends are feeling blessed and HIS LoVe is being felt in your hearts !! God is good ladies !! Hello to you my bloggy friends,
I had such a fun week-end.. I even took my camera.. We went to church on Sunday, and than headed for lunch and a stroll at the Orange Circle..I've shared before about this sweet towne..Everything is left to look as it was back in the day.. We ate at Watson's,which is also a pharmacy, and than walked to all my sweet shoppes.. I took some pictures of the actual Circle in the middle of all the joining streets.. It's like a park, with a waterfall and Big shady trees.. From there you can head down any of the four streets to all the fun places.. I always have to buy a gellato, (pink of course)..it gives me my energy to gooo..(soo yummy).. I always have to go see my sweet friend Donna, at her shoppe, "The Victoria & Co.. See, all her fun stuff for sale.. Wowsers !!
And than ladys, I found Emmas sister in "pink".. Do you see her ?! She was $75.00 tho, and I wasn't going to pay that for her, when sweet ~r~ got Emma for 19.99.. WHAT !!! Ooohhh that was soo hard to walk away from !! Not really tho, cuz sweet hubby was NOT going for that.. Noway..Nohow !! Ooohh darn him !! Soo, I will still check out TJ Max for her !! I did buy some sweet treasures from Donna..She always has everything out for the season to come, soo..it was Harvest type pretties yesterday !! It was soo fun..and such a wonderful relaxing day to be out and about, especially just 5 mins. from home, and the weather was Perfect !!
Hope you enjoy the stroll around towne, and if you're ever in Southern Ca.. it's a must go.. It is definetly a day trip or two.. You couldn't make it in all the shoppes too quickly..A very pleasant day I must say !!

Well hello to you all my girlie girls !! Is everyone enjoying the "doggy days" of summer, as it is coming to a fast halt ?! I can't believe I'm getting my youngest ready to start school again.. He's going to high school this year, and I'm still in aaahh how fast times a goin' by !! Crazy fun times tho !! He's playing football, soo our summer has been filled with football camps, and practice !! He seems to be enjoying it tho !! I just don't understand that !! hahaha..
After I got home from work today, I busily started cleaning up, and I had read a fellow bloggy friends post yesterday, and she shared how she went to the "barn sale" in Temecula this week-end, and came home with the sweetest Christy Repasy print.. I Just Loved it, and wanted to run there, and get me one too.. But, than I decided to go look at all the ones I already have, and decide if I really need another !! But, I did decide, and YES !! I need (really want) another !! It was such a sweet print and the size was adorable.. I have just the place for it !! I wasn't able to get to the Barn this month, But, for sure in September I will be there when it opens the first day !! I KNOW soo many who go to it, and just say it's FABULOUS !! Heather, you will have to share pics of this wonderful shoppe !! You are right there !! darn...wish I was !!
I thought I would share with you, some of my ever growing Repasy collection.. I took soo many pics, and only am sharing a few.. yikes !! Can you all tell, when I LoVe and AdoRe something, I just can't get enough !! I just think she is soo talented, and good at what she does !! To be blessed at painting beautiful rose prints.. how wonderful..I really do get great JoY at looking at beautiful things !! Well hello all my girlie girls...Gosh, again, times a flyin' by, and I just can't keep up !! I know you are all soo busy as well, soo you can understand !! I wanted to share with you what I did this past week-end.. It was soo wonderfully, surprisingly very FUN !!! My friend Bonnie, holding her puppy (baby)..hehehe..had a get together of all us girlies that hung out in jr.high school, soo I haven't seen these friends ,except her, for over 30yrs.. WHAT ?! I can hardly type that without wondering if this could really be true !! Noway !! I was kinda apprehensive about going, cuz, you know, all the different girlie personalities and all !! I didn't want to sit around and just talk and listen to everyones "glorified stories" I know this sounds terrible !! But, you know girls and the drama !! It was back then too !! BUT, I was sooo pleasantly surprised !! There was none !!
We all laughed and cracked up all night long.. My tummy even hurt when I left !! And, it's soo funny to hear what girlies remember !! I can't believe all the stories !! And, we actually laughed about all the boyfriends and that was hysterical !! We all liked the same boys, and just shared their affections, and we learned they tell stories too !! hahaha.. Darn boys !! I think that's why the girlies still fight.. over boys !! hahaha.. the stories ..oh my gosh !!
And then, things turned somewhat melancholy.. We all shared about our husbands, our children,and little bumps in the road for all of us !! Some hills compared to others.. And, then, to know how many of us are helping or caring for elderly parents .. and just making the best of our middle-aged years !! WHAT !! I kept saying I wasn't middle-aged YET !!! They would laugh, and say what are you ?! Ooohhh girlies, I'm young, nothings changed !! Plus, I still have another year to be middle-aged..RIGHT ?! And then, I came home and got ready for bed, and really looked in the mirror..okay..okay.. I AM Middle-aged !! Just hadn't realized it as of yet !! booohoooo...
So all in all, I have to say, I came home with a warm fuzzy heart, and a big tickle in it as well !! I came to realize that evening, everyone is growing up and old together and at the same time.. We all go through things, and hold onto uneasy feelings.. But, than we get to a certain age, and that's what we all learned from, and because of these growing up days, that's who we have grown up to be.. WOW !! We all loved to see each other, and enjoyed everyones company more than I can share with you !!! It was soo special and I have to say I learned alot.. yep, even in my middle-age I'm still learning..to let go of the past, don't judge, and always be open minded towards others.. I have to say, I haven't giggled like that since, well over 30 yrs.. ago.you know what I mean.. like a child..yet at the tender age of 13 and 14 I thought I knew everything !!! Ooohh... what the last 30 yrs. has brought.. hubby, children,new friends,yep, that I actually get to hand pick.. At that age we're all thrown together.. you know what I mean !! I have a new tenderness for friends.. LoVe your friends, be a friend, and listen to your friends.. not only with our ears, BUT, our hearts..If you need to forgive.. ladies forgive..if you need to let go..let go.. life is short, and good friends are few !! Let's cherish our friends, and thank the good Lord for blessing us soo wonderfully.. for friends you say..yes friends.. life is soo short..
gosh, didn't mean to ramble on, but, I feel well..kinda like I'm getting older !! Some things really don't matter at the end of the race.. God is good, and oohh soo faithful !!
Speaking of friends, I LoVe all my bloggy friends honest I DO !!

Some new pink pressies for meee...

Well hello, and happy Summer Days to all my fun lovin' pinky peep friends,
I sure hope you're all doing well, and enjoying the last half of our Summer.. Can you EvEn believe how fast !!! WOW !! I guess because I'm able to kick up my heels a bit, and move at a slower pace.. well, kinda, just busy doing other things.. A little more fun than usual !! Well, I just had to show you all my latest pretties from no other than the infamous Ms. ~r~..
I was soo excited to get this gigantic package from fed ex.. I lucked out too, cuz it came Wed., on my day off, and I have such a ritual when I get a package.. I have to sit down somewhere comfortable, and undo everything one at a time.. You have to understand, when you get something from Rebecca, it's kinda like Christmas !! She individually wraps each item, with a pretty pink bow, and they all smell so yummy !! Everything, everytime, and one by one, I unwrap, and oohh and aaahh.. yep, all by myself.. I get soo excited !! I set them up and around me, and than for the next day or so, I kinda play house, and fit them all somewhere just perfect !!
Remember when she painted and shared this table, WELL, I quickly claimed this, and boy am I glad I did !! It's soo pretty !! It's a pie shape table, already painted up with the best roses ever !! And, see, the new spicejars,and caddy.. yep !! All pink and pretty too !! I adore glass bottles, and know I will put these out and about with all my others !! The rack is adorable, and I can certainly find a use for the rack as well, seperate from the bottles !! Maybe in my bathroom or near my vanity, filled with perfume bottles..mmmm.. sooo many ideas !! I know I get carried away with my pink pretties.. BUT, well.. I just can't contain myself !! It's such pretty pink fun stuff !!
I've put the table in my darlin' daughters room for now, and it looks lovely in there.. I wish my picture taking was better !! Someday...
But, I'm sure you get the idea what it all looks like, BUT, I promise, sooo much prettier in person !! You all have to hop over, and pick up your pink pretty from ~r~.. Such a treat, and I know you will be as excited as mee !!! Sooo much fun !!!

Well happy marvelous monday to all my girlie girls,
I soo hope you're all doing well, and making it through this summer heat !! ooo la la..it is soo darn warm here !! I just try to stay coooll !! Not much else to do about it..
I thought I would share some of my pretty sweet metal watering cans and pots.. I just LoVe collecting these.. There is something about the way they are shaped and all, that call to me..And than, if you are lucky or (blessed) enough to know someone to paint them all pretty for you, better yet !! They have their own little personalities going, and I kinda pick and choose which to actually use, or which ones get to just sit and look pretty.. They are all made so sturdy, and nothing like the plastic ones all over today..I tuck them here and there ..and it brings so much joy to me just to look at !! Hope you all enjoyed this peek into my pink rosey world !!

Well hello to all my pinky girlies,
I'm soo hoping this is finding you all enjoying your summer and you're all able to stay cool and comfy..gosh, it's soo darn melty hot here in So.Ca.. Now, this is true Ca. weather.. You wake up to warm, and got to bed warm !! Thank God for air conditioners.. I think we're all a bit spoiled !!
I soo LoVe to come home from wherever I've been in the day, go out back and eat some popsicles and/or icecream.. yummy.. When I'm doing my watering, and licking my popsickle, nothin' could be yummier.. It melts down my hand a little, and no problem, just wash it off in the hose.. LoVe the cool water splashing all over too.. Once I come in, a little cool bath, and the rest is lazy night.. I soo adore the lazy days of summer, and the slower, less hectic days .. You can do more what you feel like doing rather than have to do !!
I haven't been a good bloggy friend as of late, But, I think of you all often, and lift and pray for you.. You are all wonderful ladies, that have brought me many chuckles and oohhss and aahhss.. It's so fun to meet sweet friends who all LoVe and adore similar things in life..Is anyone or everything always perfect and rosey.. I would have to say nooo,but I know where to go and get some peace, grace, and mercy, and soo hope all of you do as well.. The Lord is my comfort and strength, and to HIM I praise always..

our Malibu week-end...

Hello to all my sweet bloggy girlies,
Hoping you all had a very enjoyable, yet, relaxing 4th of July week-end.. We had so much fun !! We spent it at my Sister and husbands home in Malibu.. It's such a beautiful place to go.. the week-end couldn't of been more perfect.. Spent with family, friends,laughter,and of course good, yummy food.. I just thought I wouldd share some pics with you.. No need for more words, cuz you can see the beauty all around..My hubby and I would walk to the pier each day, and than grab a bite to eat there.. It was such a wonderful walk..
Their home is right on the beach front,and than there is three levels to the home.. Each level has a balcony to sit on and view the scenery.. Sooo we got to pick our place to kick our heels up !! It was very relaxing, and I'm already to go back..hahaha..

Hi my bloggy girlies..
Hoping you're all into the full swing of Summer..Can you believe the 4th of July is just a few days away?! Oh my..We get a few days to relax around here..Sooo..we're off to Malibu,until Sunday.. Can't wait.. It's truly beautiful and soo relaxing.. I'm not a bathe in the sun type person, I hide under the umbrellas, and stay on the covered deck.. Gotta take care of the skin..But, I just LoVe the sunsets..sooo beautiful, and this is when we take our walk, and get the grills fired up.. The ocean, the bbq, the fire pits .. I can smell it all already.. Can't wait !!
I soo hope you all are able to be with family and friends to enjoy your day as well..Let's all remember what we're truly celebrating.. I soo believe we live in the BeSt Country EvEr.. and, wouldn't change that for a thing.. we need to keep in our prayers and thoughts, the great men and women who fight or have fought for our Freedom.. We all know it isn't free.. and my hat goes off to each one of them..God Bless all those that have done soo.. They are my heros..All because they feel lead to do so.. SERVE.. that's a mighty powerful word.. God bless each of you and all of them.. sweet inspirations for meee..

Well Happy Thursday to you all !! Can you believe the end of the week is once again upon us !! It just zips by..Yesterday I was off work, and soo this is when I turn my music on and clean.. Everyone was gone, and I had the house to myself !! I do soo much better and get more done when everyone is out and about!! I kept noticing all my sweet inspirational signs, and thought I would share these !! I have some friends in Orange, that sell these in their shoppes..I'm always adding to these, for every season, I usually change some out, and add some new !! For all of you that know me, know I LoVe my Lord and Savior with all my heart !! It is HIM and HIM alone that carries me through each day, and believe me, I need to be reminded of his Love and Mercy for me daily.. When I'm feeling overwhelmed,tired,and sometimes like my joy has gone away.. It's little reminders like these, that show me where to go for comfort..I also tuck little favorite bible verses in secret spots.. LoVe to pull these out and read them too..Always pertains to what I'm needing and really do lift my Spirits !! I always try to remember, it's us that moves from HIM.. He will never leave us !! How comforting is that !!
Well my girlies, I hope you're all able to do something that tickles your heart today, and brings you some joy !! Keep your eyes and hearts looking heavenward.. and He will comfort you !! Happy Day to you all !!

A sweet lil' cakeplate..

Well good Marvelous Monday my bloggy friends..Gosh, I am surprised I was able to do a post today.. These are usually crazy days, BUT, with Summer now, a little bit easier.. I don't always have to be in a hurry !! YIPPEE !! I was just in the kitchen cleaning up dinner messes, and decided to clean this cake stand out !! It's always like opening surprises, just seeing what I have tucked in here !! It's my special "bridal rose teacup", some pretty sachets from Rebecca.. It smelled so pretty when I took this cover off.. Yummy !! And, do you see my sweet lil' salt dishes ... I collect these too.. Anything, cute ,dainty, and if it's pink with any sort of rose..gotta have it.. Don't you LoVe when you collect things that you just LoVe to look at !! It's funny I was at an Estate Sale years ago, and this sweet Lady who lived there, saw me looking at these and came up to me, and opened my hands and tucked these into my lil' fists, and said, I want you to have these..She said, sshh..don't tell anyone, but there mine, and I want them to go home with you !! She was soo funny, because she was watching what everyone was buying, and taking away.. It was soo bothersome to her, to see her pretties gooo..She only wanted ladys' buying things that were taking them home, and loving them.. She didn't want people buying her pretties to resale.. That would break my heart too, to watch as my treasures were being carted off !!
I guess that's why when the Lord says "to store all our treasures in heaven".. Those are the ones that truly matter in the end.. Not our collections here !! WOW !! I do try to remember heavenly thoughts like this..
Oohh.. I didn't mean to get soo side-tracked.. hahaha.. that's soo mee tho !! I hope you enjoyed peeking under my pretty rose painted cake top, to see what's hiding under there..I soo LoVe showing all my pinky pretties.. It doesn't stop girlies !! Hi my sweet little bloggy girlies,
Hope your Wednesday was a wonderful middle of the week day.. Whew.. I've made it half way through.. It really goes soo fast sometimes.. It's always my day off, I LoVe this, cuz I can't work more than 2 days in a row.. Too much for meee...hahaha.. I would way rather be out to lunch and shopping..hehehe..I was good today and stayed home and got alot done here.. Went first thing this morning tho, and had to get a little pink mani and pedi.. My Wed.. ritual, to breakfast, than home..than not tempted to spend money.. oohhh darn, I do try to be good...
I sat and wrote thank-you notes to family and friends for Taylors graduation, he does this as well, but I too like to say my thank-you's, for them taking their time and all to come and make him feel sooo special..Sooo, I decided to share my sweet lil' writing desk to you.. I really don't, at this point in my life, have a special writing desk (big one) to use.. i'm all out of room.. But, someday.. yes..I will.. I truly LoVe pretty paper and notecards,and stickers.. you know all the stuff that makes special notes..Now, I have this sweet writing lap desk to put some of my collection in.. I write on the top of it, and everything I need is right here..Ooohh.. need I even say who made this lil' vintage writing table for mee.. You guessed it.. ~sweet ms. r @ AGP~.. and see the bill collector from her as well.. It holds my stamps and return labels,pens, and yuck..BILLS..This is always out on my counter, hoping (praying) that some sweet visitor would pick up one or two to pay..hahaha..wouldn't that be nice?! NEVER happens...just wishful , dreaming thoughts... This lil' holding box makes them all look sooo much sweeter..don't you think..Well my sweet boggies, LoVe sharing things I LoVe with each of you, and I soo LoVe visiting and seeing all your sweet treasures as well.. It's all so fun to mee.. Hoping and praying that the rest of your week is totally, and richly blessed.. Don't forget to be a blessing as well.. God is always good, and yes, sooo faithful !!

What... I got the tv out...

Hello all my sweet pinky peeps.. Hope this is finding you all well, and much rested after your week-end.. Mine was rather enjoyable.. I had nothing we had to do, soo I got busy once again in my bedroom, you know how I shared before that tv was totally bothering me in there.. yuck..There is nothing pretty about them.. Soo, after much deliberation, it's out of there.. See, what I did in place of it.. Put all these pretties on there.. So much sweeter to look at, and no matter what I did there before, that black box was haunting me..I'm thrilled, and I would soo much rather listen to my bible studies and music in the morning.. Nothing good on that darn tv anymore, and at times just depresses me to listen and see all the bad around us.. Do you notice they never want to report on the good in this world.. Oh I know, this is a whole different post..right..
After Saturday, and my cleaning out again, Sunday we went to Church, and it was such a beautiful day here, we went to lunch and walking around the Orange Circle.. Sweet stores and shoppes everywhere.. I'm like a little kid in a candy store here.. Look what I found, this beautiful PINK and sweet green doiley for almost nothing.. It's soo big, and do you see the lil' rosettes all around it.. Gosh, did this have my name all over it ?! I was thrilled, and quickly came home to play with this.. just LoVe when I find a treasure so fit for me.. Sooo fun..

Well Happy Wonderful Wednesday my sweet girly girls,
I always feel so guilty cuz I haven't been a very good bloggy friend as of late.. But, I think of you all, and visit often, honest I do.. But, when I have things I have to do..gotta get it all done.. Ooohh.. I hate having so many responsibilities...hahaha.. I also have taken up painting ALL my frames around my home to cottage white.. ALL because of Rebecca inspiring me again.. She would always say I CAN do this.. And you know what I CAN.. Each one I do becomes easier, and I become a bit more creative.. Soooo noone wants to stay in one place to long, or I may take up to painting them anew as well.. A little cottage white, and than I rub some gold with my lil' towel.. I'm truly having a ball doing this, and will share my wall of pics when I'm done !! Very fun !!
Today I thought I would share my lil' teacart, I cleaned this all up, and just put it all back together again.. It's very old and vintagey, and my friend Grace painted this one up for mee.. Sweet ~r~ is to far to do my BIG pieces..If you look real close you will always find my sweet ~r~ pieces.. There is soo many, and I scatter them about !! LoVe and adore each piece..I LoVe sharing with you all.. You are ALL so talented and blessed in soo many ways..You truly ALL inspire me in many different ways.. Soo keep sharing and showing.. sweet lil' pink shelf..

Hello to all my sweet bloggy girlies,
I thought I would sneak this in today.. I actually bought this from an old 1900's home,it was a built in kitchen nook shelf I believe.. Of course, to them it was probably just functional.. maybe for spices, or small dishes..(not sure)..But, it was already painted PINK..Soo, of course your friend(me) had to buy this.. I've had it hanging in a corner in my front room.. I have some pretty haviland dishes, and my cream lace dishes in and around it !! I cleaned everything yesterday, and thought to share this sweet find with you !! Anytime I see an old home,being torn down,refurbished, or worked on, I will check it out !! Usually the workers will let you take or buy from them.. BUT, they make us do the removing, soo of course it's the only time I WILL get down and dirty girls..Anything for a pink treasure..Well ,I hope you enjoyed another peek into my pinky haven.. Someday, I might surprise you all with a find that isn't pink..someday..hahaha..I can't help myself..Hope this is finding you all well and feeling nothing but blessed.. Well hello to all my sweet pinky friends..
Hope this finds you all doing well, and able to enjoy your Spring, almost Summer days.. I get soo in the mood for Summer, especially here in Sunny Southern California.. Everything seems to turn to the beach, ocean, bbqs', and bon fires.. You can almost smell it in the air..There is something so wonderful about this.. I think because we can all slow down and enjoy each day more now.. Days are soo much longer, and there is always soo much to do.. (fun times)..
Soo it's at this time of year, I pull out my sea shells, and starfish, and make pretty lil'bowls full of sweet smelling salts, and shells.. I put them in all the rooms, just to remind us it's Summer Time.. Of course, I find all pink shades, and throw in some sagey green ones.. I put them in all my lil' haviland dishes, and pretty crystal ones..I really enjoy looking at them.. Also, I had to show you all the pretty vase my daughter got me for my birthday, it's pink with pretty roses.. I put it right by my bed, soo I see it all the time.. Sooo sweet of her, and look, how they know what we LoVe.. Well, again, I pray all is going well with each of you, and you're all able to slow down and enjoy this time of the year a bit !! Well hello and Wonderful Wednesday my sweet girly girls... Gosh, it just seems I can't keep up with this bloggy thing.. I soo miss chatting and catching up with you all..I do try to do drop-in's tho.. yikes..that sounds frightning..hahaha.. I have to stay caught up with you tho, and my life just is in circles right now, I soo try to slow down, and just relax when I can.. Soo, I thought I'ld show you what I've been doing.. I've always been drawn to old chairs..There is something sweet and dainty about most of them.. Their legs are so graceful, and the backs of them soo sweetly designed.. All a bit different.. and oohh so cottagey.. I give them all a coat or two of my favorite Cottage White paint, and have sweet friends grace them with painted designs.. It adds such a personalized touch as well..Sweet ~r~ is glad she doesn't live just a drive away, I would be at her doorstep daily with some sweet find for her to makeover..She truly is an inspiration to me, and I LoVe her painting the best.. But, I do LoVe my sweet chairs.. Hi my sweet pinkilicious girly girls.. I bet you thought I fell off this pink planet of mine.. BUT.. Nooo, I'm alive and kicking pink still.. I've just been well.. sooo busy and a bit overwhelmed with my to-do list, instead of shrinking, it kept growing, and I have just been all over, trying to catch up.. It is the end of the school year, and there is just so much happening, one event after the other.. Today I stayed home and cleaned and baked, and it gave me an idea to share with you.. Something else I LoVe, What.. I LoVe something else?! Of course girlys, I do !! It is my collection of green colored utencils, and anything to go with my pink in the kitchen..There is hardly a piece I pass up, or gets by me..I try to get gently used, soo I can use for the most part.. There is something sweet about using something, that some sweet lady (hopefully sweet), used with LoVe for her family..I actually appreciate somethings passed down from others, and wonder about its' past.. Just LoVe all my collections.. Does any of my sweet blogging friends collect old utencils.. I have sooo many, but don't want you to think I'm over the top ?! hahaha..Yikes, oohh.. Hi my sweet bloggy girls,
Hope you all had a marvelous Monday.. Mine is always marvelous once I've made it through a Monday.. Wheeeewh..especially after such a busy,fun week-end..I really pray that all you Mommas had a very special,relaxing day..I really did, and they all made me feel soo special and loved..I just wanted to share,some of my pretty Haviland collection.. I got two more pretty teacups to add to my ever-growing collection for Mothers Day !! I LoVe now that my children are older, they go out and seek something that they know I truly adore !! Believe me when I tell you that they are good at this.. I've trained their eyes well..hahaha..Haviland, for all you that aren't familiar with them, are simply gorgeous.. Very fine old China.. Soo thin, that when held to the light, you can almost see through them..All kinds of pretty pink rose patterns, but I mix them all together, and they just blend beautifully..Nothing better than sipping tea from one of these sweet teacups.. I display so much of mine, but think nothing of using each piece.. A table set with these dishes is just so sweeet and pretty..I LoVe the butter pats, and am always picking these up.. Soooo little, and useful.. I like to think about who once owned my pretties, and where they have been and come from.. Oooohhh.. if our teasures could only talk..But, know matter what, I adore each piece, and hopefully take good care of them, just like their previous owners..It's funny, cuz when I'm out at any sweet shoppe, my eyes are always drawn to these pieces..They're getting so pricey now, so I try to look for a reasonable prices ..Well, hope you enjoyed looking, I think it's fun to see what all us girlie girls collect..Do any of you collect these as well ?! Happy Sweet Mothers Day to ALL my bloggy friends.. We've been to church, and now getting ready to go towards the beach for the day.. I just want enjoyable fun family time, don't really care what we end up doing.. I will pop into a few shoppes I'm sure, on our stroll..I'm soo late at posting, but it is insanely busy around here right now.. My Son leaves to Washington Dc, and New York next Sunday, so trying to get him in order.. He graduates from 8th grade June 5th, soo lots to get ready for there as well.. Hi my sweet girly girls,
Hope to find you all happy and having a wonderful week so far.. Yesterday when I was at work, all of us girls' got into the conversation of putting on our makeup.. The biggest question, or topic, was do you stand up in the mirror,or sit at a table or (vanity).. It was soo funny to hear everybodys preferance.. from sitting on the floor, to sitting up on the bathroom counter, or sitting at a vanity.. Out of six girls, I'm the only one that sits at a vanity.. WHAT !! Please tell me, some of you sit down at one.. I can't imagine standing, and trying to see that far into the mirror.. I have to get really close.. At least I admit this..hahaha.. My eyesight may not be as perfect as once was.. But, come on ladys.. I'm not a spring chickee anymore.. Soo, I thought I'm gonna share this with my bloggy girls, and you'll have to tell me what you do !! I told my work girlies I was taking a vote on this.. Please Please tell me I'm not the only one that sits..hahaha..
Oh well, thought I'ld share my little makeup table with all of you..I pull out the lighted makeup mirror to use in the morning.. It's just not pretty, so it gets put away..See, my lil' sweet chair, from none other than sweet ~r~, at "A Gathering Place".. and all my pretties are mostly from her as well.. Hello all my bloggy girlfriends,
As you know, I had gone out to lunch and shop with my sisters and Momma yesterday.. After lunch we headed to Rachel Ashwell's Shabby Chic Store in Newport Beach.. This was soo sad to see.. At its' best times this store was simply gorgeous, and such eye candy just to walk by..I had to share pictures of what remains so far.. So disappointing and disheartning to say the least.. Everything was soo picked over, and very marked down.. I still thought it was very expensive tho..People were buying it all up still..I tried to find something, even something little, but just didn't find anything I HAD to have.. I think too, because it took the air out of me to actually see this happening, and to know, years ago, it was actually Rachel who got me to truly LoVe what I LoVe..and to see it going away, at least for now, well, is kinda sad to me.. I don't like to see this happen to anyone, and believe me, this was a dynasty, and she always had quite the following..I just hope and pray she gets herself out of this, and knowing her, get right to what she soo LoVes doing and to the top again.. Everything she touches, turns out, simply sweet, and beautiful.. I will sooo miss going to this beautiful shoppe on my jaunts..My Sis says the Shabby Chic in Malibu is still opened.. Not sure about the stay of that one.. Just thought I'ld share for all you that know of her and her sweet stores.. I'll share more about our shopping spree soon, ALL the positive fun places we found treasures.. It truly was a wonderful, happy day..just went by way to fast !! Happy Fabulous Friday all my pinkie peeps..Hope this is bringing you into a fun week-end..I'm excited because May 5th (Cinco de Mayo) is my actual birthday, but, You know how we have to have a week of celebrations..right..soo, tomorrow I get to go to lunch at Los Brisas,in Laguna Beach for lunch and a day of shopping, with my Momma,and my Sisters'.. I love when we do this, and I can't wait !! Sunday is our family celebration day..It should all be fun !! I thought I would share with you all, my sweet lil' snowbabies.. They are the ones given to me by my Momma, and sisters'..They are the little girl ones (big girls), They're all dolled up, and sweet pink cheeks,and blue eyes..They have jewelry on, and some have purses they're carrying..the top two girlies are in the spa with towel wrapped heads sharing relaxing time, the next one is sitting in a high heel shoe.. and the other is 3 sisters' (friends sitting on a bench chatting.. I just LoVe these, and I always think of the special sisters' and Momma who gave them to me..sshh..maybe I'll get another this week-end.. I won't buy these myself.. they have to be given to me, makes them more special.. Okay, girlies, I have to run to work, Yippee, it's friday !! Happy Wonderful Wednesday my sweet bloggy friends,
Wednesdays are always a day off work for me.. I usually get things done for myself in the morning, have breakfast with some friends, and then off to run my errands.. I promised myself today I would come home and start sewing up some more decorations.. I use these for Easter, and than Christmas, for my "pink prettys"tree..I either make these out of socks, for the bodies, or buy them already made up, and then I embellish them all with drippy pearls,and beads,pretty eyes, and lace trimmings, add old found jewelry.. and whaalaaa.. they're already to go..I think they are the sweetest.. My little bunnies are always soo excited once I get them fixed up .. It changes their whole personality..hahaha..What girlie girl doesn't LoVe getting all dolled up !! What's soo funny, I do not sew at all !! I wish I knew how.. These are done all by hand, and I just kinda wing it !! If you can believe it, when my daughter was young, she got me into doing this with her.. Now, it's mainly me.. She has bigger and better things she has to do.. I still cherish all the ones we've made together, and the time we shared and talked while making these.. I'm sure tho, one day, she'll want to make some more with Momma !! It's soo fun, so I have my sewing box out and ready to go, soo when I get back home, I'm all set to make some pretty bunnies.. Hope you all have a wonderful, blessed, creative day at some point.. Hoping all of you had a wonderful,blessed Sunday.. I just got home from Church this evening, and was in the mood to clean and refill my jars.. I just LoVe apothecary jars of any kind.. Any shape or size.. They have so many uses.. I always have mine filled with well..uumm..PiNk candies of all sorts.. I add other colors just for "splash".. I have these scattered all about..and LoVe the look of all their sizes and shapes grouped together..I think I just LoVe candy dishes, cuz I sure have alot out and about, now that I'm looking.. It's soo fun, when my litttle nieces and nephews, and other kids come over, cuz their little sweet eyes, just dance when they see all the candy..and of course they leave with little bags full..Every season calls for new colored candy.. in the meantime, there's all my favorite color in these.. I know.. I know..over the top again, but, I just can't help myself.. Doesn't candy just keep us sweeet anyways.. I'm not hurting anything.. right.. my girlie girls.. just making things pretty..LoVe to always share with you, and LoVe when I get to visit each of you, and you share with mee.. Good morning to you, my sweet bloggy friends,
It is sooo HOT here in good ole' So. CA., I had to get out early to do some watering, it will be a HOT afternoon, and I don't like to be in the heat of the day.. My poor plants, they needed a good spraying to cool them off..I thought it might be fun to snap some pictures while I was at it.. Everything is blooming away by now.. See all my lil' birdhouses, I LOVE to tuck them all over.. I've never actually seen birds in them, but, always on them, and all around..I'm sure there is much they love to munch on out here..It's so relaxing to me to be outside, I enjoy the smell of the morning air, and all that blooms around..God is soo good, and blesses us all with prettiness surrounding us, if we just take the time to enjoy..hope you enjoyed looking around, and I pray you each have a beautiful, relaxing, day and are able to get outside to enjoy as well.. Hope this is finding you all well,happy, and full into the swing of Spring.. I've had a busy week, Spring Break for my youngest, sooo, that means we go wherever he may want to go.. Always fun tho..I had some free time Wed.., he was gone all day,so Momma cleaned.. This is my shelf in my kichen, up really high, you can see my border, that's how high it is.. It was an old headboard made into this shelf, and do you all notice it's not PINK.. oh my..I loved the yellow tho, and there is sweet bluebirds painted on it, to go with my Lefton blluebird collection..I hope you can see them.. very sweet.. My friend Grace, from a "little bit uf Grace,"painted this for me..And, I still LOVE this.. Hello to all my sweet bloggy friends,
Thought I would drop just a quick hello, it's a been a busy few days, but quite lovely.. Spent alot of time with family and friends.. Friday night was my sis's and her hubbys 25th wedding celebration, and celebration it was.. They introduced their wedding party again, (what a crack up).. We were all so young then.. The lady who sang at their wedding, (a very close family friend ) 91yrs. young sang for them again..just as lovely I might add..They toasted their beautiful life together, and all their blessings of course.. Just Beautiful, as I said.. Quite an accomplishment these days.. Saturday we celebrated my Mommas' 71st birthday..(she would kill me for saying that.. hahaha.. Sooo much fun !! Sunday for Easter we were all together again for Easter at my baby sis's home.. Such a gorgeous day, and we had another great time all together.. Our family is quite big, and to actually have us in the same place, is unusual.. We were so blessed to have our older Son off work, and be able to be with us all week-end.. I sooo miss him home all the time now !! boo hoo..I had to show you a picture of my family too.. I hope you all had a wonderful, blessed, family week-end.. Hello to all my sweet spring "pinky peeps".... Wasn't sure I could post over the week-end, so I wanted to be sure to wish you all a very blessed, peaceful, Easter.. What an awesome thing, to think that Jesus died on the cross, to save us each, so that we may live forever together in HIS heavenly home that he has prepared for us.. It's all we have to do is believe.. Amazing.. And it's been so wonderful to me, to share these beliefs with so many of you my "bloggy friends".. Hello to all my lovely lady friends,
Hope this finds you all having a wonderful Sunday evening.. I've wanted to show you this lil' hamper.. a friend painted up for me awhile ago.. It's been painted a sweet sagey soft green, and the lid is sugarey pink, with hand-painted pretty roses.. Of course, I don't feel it with dirty clothes, instead it's filled to the brim with beautiful, old lace, and linens..It smells so wonderful, when it's opened, cuz I put cut lavender inside of it !! Love that smell.. Soo fresh and clean..Whoever thought an old wicker clothes hamper, would be reused to hold beautiful, sweet lace..The paint is real chippy,but, I adore chippy with softness overflowing..I always have to giggle, and wonder,if maybe one day, someone will love and adore me, saying "A little chippy, painted softly, aged to perfection,and to be loved and adored", cuz we're old ... I surely hope soo, don't you ?! hahaha..Ooohhh my girlies, always trying to look on the bright side.. Okay, I'll share another treasure soon, always LoVe when you all share with meee.. Hello to all my pink girly girls,
Just a short lil' post today, I'm such a busy one of late, and it's not going to slow down for awhile..It's something I've realized, and have got to keep hoppin' about, and get it all done..I can do all this, I know I can !! I Love to surround myself,with family and friends I adore, and pretty things I LoVe..It truly makes me LovE, and enjoy my life.. I have to make pretty marks in every room I'm in, so here's another bunny to see, she's so sweet.. all dressed up, and ready to go at the drop of a dime .. Aren't her colors perfect for meee ?! Hello on this glorious, sun shiny day in California.. Hope it is where you are today as well.. The sun makes me happy, and so much more energetic..I wanted to share with you ,all my"pinky peeps", my tea service table.. Have you ever seen or heard of these ?! My cousin, who has everything, is the first one to own one of these that I know.. When I saw hers I had to have one... I hunted for 2-3 yrs.., had almost forgotten about it, when I walked into a friends sweet shoppe, and this table greeted me at the front door.. she said "buy mee", and of course I flipped, and left with her in my truck.. "gotta have a truck"..hahaha..My friend had bought her the day before at an estate sale, cleaned her up, and she was waiting for meee..There is beveled glass all around, the door swings open I have pretty dishes and such inside, and a pretty lamp, so you can see inside at night.. Sweeet !!! The table on top lifts off, as a serving tray (for tea).. You can see I don't lift this off ever cuz it's covered in pretties.. (cluttered), but I LoVe my clutter.. I've now admitted this.. I LoVe to look at beautiful things.. It's a sickness and I admit to this.. Isn't this the first step to recovery.. admitting guilt or problem..hahaha..BUT, I can't help it !!! What a joy to find something that you've been on the hunt for !! Hello to all my pinky friends,
Goodness, just stayed home today, and cleaned around my home.. Sometimes we have to do just that, to me, it's easier when everybody else is gone.. Turn the music on and away I gooo.. As I washed all my pretty perfume jars, I realized how pretty and girly they really are !! Does anyone else collect these ?! A few are vintage and cost more..But, I got hooked on the repro's.. less expensive, and still quite lovely..You know mee, anything blingey, sparklely, and okay PINK.. I used that word again !!! I fall in love with.. All these are in my bedroom, and I really do adore them !! hope you enjoy meeting them..hahaha.. I HAD to put a bunny in to, cuz it is SPRING, and they're popping up in all kinds of places.. I think they are soo sweet, they always make me smile to look at !!! Hello to all me "pinkie peeps" on this super Saturday again.. YIPPEE !! It's been a crazy busy day, I got up early and went to a friends to get ready for a baby shower.. T'was a wonderful day and time..But, I came home beat.. Waiting at my front step was a package from sweet ~r~.. Look at what I got !! A sweeeet bread board, and paddle.. A pink sweet jar.. It all looks soo wonderful together.. I wanted to share with you !! Look how well it goes (blends)..hahaha..with my kitchen..Everything I get from her, I always say THIS is my favorite.. She just laughs, and KNOWS, I'll be dying for something else soon.. Everytime she buys something, and shares with me, I always have to say, did you buy me one too ??? Just like a baby.. (she knows what I LOVE, and can't stand to hear me boohoo), so she takes care of me !!! Thanks to her, for so much pretty around my home !!!

Hello to all you pinky peeps today.. YIPPEE !!! It's officially SPRING..Can you tell ?! Hope the sun is shining down on all of you.. I know soo many of you are so tired of the cold.. I can't even imagine, since I'm planted in Sunny Southern Ca..Don't get much cold.. I'm one who loves to always feel the warmth of the sun, and my mood is soo much more happy when the sun is shining..

Here's hoping you all had a wonderful Wednesday, and hopefully you were able to do something fun, that makes you feel good today !! I was home pretty much all day, just cleaning and doing laundry, when I thought..I should show you all , my pink laundry room, with pink ironing board and pink iron.. Can't find pink starch, but mine smells like lavender, soo that's still good..right..Do you notice the pink wooden clothes pins, and painted wooden hangers from sweet Rebecca, and all my shelves,and pink metal utility box full of dryer softner papers, she painted pretty too.. Can you stand all this.. I just can't get enough pink and roses, and it really makes all my chores soo much more pleasant when I see pretty..Now, you really might think I've jumped off the edge.. to pink heaven .... ooohhh my, what if I ever tire of this ?!
